I know.

You know though... I think certain guys have just such a good basketball mind and desire to win overall that coaches love them, regardless of what they do on the court.

I think playoff Rondo is largely a meme, but hey, maybe he'll win them a few games.

Do you guys consider him as washed-up at this point?

If he is as washed up as 2020 MVP LeBron is, I think we are good to go but idk

You guys lack faith. Dont yall remember what he did alone to GSW last Christmas when LeBron had his groin injury ?

Solid addition to the team to say the least. The main questions are will he be fully ready for the WCF and how is he gonna fit with LeBron, Waiters and Caruso

He's been an average (35%) 3PT shooter over the past 5 years. We don't have a playmaker for our 2nd unit, so he's definitely of some value. I'll take his Playoffs experience (Playoff Rondo is a thing) and BBIQ over JR's & Waiters' tbh.

Ask the Blazers if it's largely a meme.

Breh. Rondo went off against Bran in both the 2010 and 2012 playoffs.

Averaged 12/9/10 and 4 steals in 2 away games against the #1 seed Celtics in 2017.. Bulls won both games. Rondo goes down and Bulls collapse.

Outplayed Dame in 2018 and had a 21 assist game against the KD/Steph Warriors in a win.

Exactly, playoffs Rondo is anything but a meme

Yes, that's it. Nothing more needed to expose the naivete.

He owned the Blazers in 2018. (#6 sweeps #3).
He owned the Celtics in 2017 (prior to exiting with same injury as now). (#8 up 2-0 on #1).

When he's locked in, he's invaluable. He's the epitome of "playing chess while everyone else is playing checkers."

(if you're looking up stats right now, then you don't understand)

Rondo is supposedly a basketball genius according to players and coaches. He also has an absolutely terrible attitude. Some of the stories about him when he was on the Celtics are pretty shocking. He seems like a too cool for school type a guy with a big ego who thinks they are above the regular season. Wants to coast all the time and turn it on when it matters. A lot of great players do this but Rondo does it even more and he flat out doesn’t command the respect as a Leonard or James...and he knows it...but he still can’t get over it. He wants to be that guy and have all the privileges and respect that goes with it, but he isnt. He can contribute to a team for awhile but he ends up being too cancerous and everyone gets tired of his shit and he has to move on. He is still a great player when locked in and giving it his all but he’s so inconsistent and has other issues. He wasted a lot of talent.

Lakers really need another creator whilst LeBron is on the bench

lol at bringing up the 2010 and 2012 playoffs like that means anything at this point in his career. Playoff Rondo means quitting on your team now ala Dallas Mavericks.
