Lets say LeBron wasnt on this Lakers team.
You have
Javale McGee
AD
Kuzma
Green
Rondo
How many win team is that? 25-30 games at most?
As a point of reference Demarcus Cousins, AD, Rondo only won 37 games in 2017

Basically the Cavs of the west.
I mean yeah theyd end up with the top pick, but they wouldnt even get to pair him with AD because AD wouldnt stick around. Hes a bit of a team hopper and I suspect he would basically just bolt to wherever Lebron is and ride his coattails.

AD led pelicans to a 48-34 record in 2018, so as long as AD is focused? Record will be around there

This isn’t their starting lineup. Likely still play Bradley at point. Idk 35-40 wins. Offense is a problem but kuzma will likely score enough to not be terrible(not bottom 5) on offense.
They’re still damn good defensively would be a top 10 defense even with kuz taking lebron minutes

Bro, the 2018 Pelicans arent the issue. Stay on topic.

*2020 LeBron hater logic*
LeBron plays well, Lakers lose = Brons fault
LeBron plays bad, Lakers lose = Brons fault
Regardless of how LeBron plays, Lakers win = All AD

No way do they lose the anchor and remain top 10 defense.

The question is how many wins would they get, I answered the question. That's the definition of staying on topic.

If the team and offense was built around AD? Surely more than 33 wins like they did last year.
At least 41 games i suppose

Given the fact that in three of the last five games Davis has shot precisely .286, .273 and .214 (8 for 32 in total) because he doesn't have a clue what to do when getting doubled, I would disagree with this notion. The Raptors showed how incredibly easy it is to stop Davis and teams are following that trend.

Better question is how many wins the Lakers would have if you replaced Lebron with Lonzo, Ingram and Hart
More than last season

They were around .500 prior to the trade request with scrubs + Jrue & AD. Pels then shut AD down and began to tank & only played him in first halves/20 mpg after the league forced them to. They'd still be a Playoff team if you just took Bron off the Lakers, obviously worse if you didn't replace him with anything and Rondo was the starting PG, though AD did beat Portland & make the 2nd round with a pretty mediocre roster with Rondo as his 3rd guy.

Look at their top 10 in minutes played last season outside of AD. There is one guy (Holiday) who would actually start on this year's Pelicans who are not world beaters themselves.
Legit NBA starter
#1 - Holiday
Out of the League
#4 - Darius Miller
#9 - Ian Clark
Playing for the tanking Knicks (last in Eastern Conference)
#3 - Julius Randle
#6 - Elfrid Payron
Still on the Pels playing less minutes this season
#5 - E Moore
#7 - Frank Jackson
#8 - Kenrich Williams
#10 - Okafor
And they won 33 games, replace these bums with Lonzo/Ingram/Hart and you'd get a playoff team easily

They would be the 8th seed at best in the mix with Portland,Memphis & Phoenix
