Who wins in a best of 7 series? Sixers won the championship averaging 124.5 ppg over Barry's Warriors. Hal Greer, Chet Walker, and Wali Jones averaged 26, 23, 20 ppg respectively. Wilt Chamberlain averaged 17.7 ppg, 28.5 rpg, 6.8 apg. Greer also had a good all around series with 26/8/7. Barry averaged 40.8 in the nba finals. The 1991 Chicago Bulls won an nba championship with Jordan averaging 31/7/11 and Pippen averaging 21/9/8 against the Lakers in 5 games.

I guess the 3P line won't make that much difference between 91 and 67. I assume they play with the 91 rules. I wonder if Wilt would have been extra fired up hearing about Jordan. Even by 91 some were saying MJ was the best they had ever seen.

I have to pick the1967 Sixers in 7 games. Jordan never faced a center that was as good as Wilt in the NBA Finals. Yes, Jordan's team beat ewing and shaq in the playoffs. but the 1967 sixers were a more talented team than the 1991 Chicago Bulls. They also had Billy Cunningham who averaged 19 ppg in the NBA Finals. Hal Greer might be 6'2, but he was one of the best midrange shooters of all time. And he was hitting long 2 in his highlights. Sixers were a more stacked team than the Bulls. And that's the reason they would beat the Chicago Bulls.

1991 Bulls. Wilt in 1967 was like the 5th leading scorer on his squad in those finals.

This ain't about Wilt and Jordan. The sixers have plenty of scorers and they beat a warriors team with rick barry who averaged 40.8 ppg in the 1967 nba finals.

He was the 5th leading scorer, only because he faced the GOAT individual defender and he still averaged 18/29/7 and still won the series, so I don't know what this has to do with the topic - even if it had, the Bulls have nobody who is going to match Thurmond's defensive efficiency at C, especially the first 3-peat ones. If someone like pre-prime Divac was doing damage to them, imagine what prime Wilt is going to do.

Plus Wilt was asked to score less and become a facilitator first--that is the reason his scoring went down. He still had the capability to put up a ton of points as JLauber showed years ago.

76ers in 5 that was the best team of the Nba first 30 years it is such a shame that injuries robbed that team from repeating in 1968 and Wilt left to La afterwards otherwise they easily could have four peated from 1967 to 1970 and given the Bucks a run for their money in 1971.

But on this series, the 76ers frontcourt is just too much Luke Jackson and Wilt would dominate in this series and that would be why the 76ers win in 5 games.
