Let's say Covid stays around for 2021 in enough numbers for the NBA to stick with the bubble approach. How do you suppose that would change how teams approach the regular season? There's no travel to worry about and no home court advantage. It also means seeding in the playoffs is only important if you care about matchups. So does that mean teams like the Lakers and Bucks do even more load management?
I also have to wonder if a full season in a bubble environment is conducive to more peak performance since there is no travel and less distraction. And then you have to wonder how it would effect tv ratings. As sports fans, do we need a real crowd to truly appreciate the games? Would teams sell tickets to their stadium and use video from that for virtual fans, while trying to give them an experience that's worth it even if with more amenities and in-between play entertainment since it's a remote viewing experience?
