It's likely the Suns are going to finish the only perfect Bubble team. Why did the league need 6 teams fighting for the 8th spot out West? The Wizards were brutal. There was no race in the East.

Conf. system is trash since the east is so top heavy.

Wizards won only a single game in the bubble and it had to be their last one :lol

Maybe this will lead to the end of the conference system.

It's not like it reflects geography anyway. Do you think that Memphis is in "the west"?

The league is a loser for the Grizzlies making the playoffs, period. They should just respectfully bow out. Who wants to watch them lose by 20 4 times to the Lakers?

Well, good luck to ja with that. :oldlol:

He used to taunt lebron back then because he thinks they will be facing the lakers in the first round. If it becomes true tho, then i supposed he's ready to be demolished by them.

Yeah it sucks for the Suns but I think they've got plenty to look forward to next season. That team is gonna be goooood.

It is pretty retarded that the NBA would invite the Suns to the bubble, They win every game and then not even qualify for the play in game.

Did anyone sort of predict that they would finish with a perfect record in the bubble? I don't think so.

Yeah but the NBA carefully planned this out for months.

Surely they had the best analytics department that had done the calculations when creating the schedule knowing that it was a probability the Suns could win every game and still not make it to the play in game.

Otherwise what was the point of inviting them.

I guess it is a good experience for Williams and his young team. But it seems pretty stupid.

Did everyone forget that we are finishing off a regular season in which the Suns were absolute trash? All due credit to Adam silver in creating the ‘bubble’. He had the four team horse race in mind when structuring the format for the restart and allowed for a phenomenal story like the suns streak to happen.

Let's not pretend like the Magic are any better. If they had a 4 team horse race in mind, they why not put the Suns and Kings in the East, because Washington had nothing going on.

I suppose that makes sense.

And since the grizz were the last seed before the league was suspended way back in march, their schedule was structured to be a tough one in the bubble. The results? They only won 25% of the whole 8 games, which could have been 12.5% only if coach bud wasn't humble enough for coach taylor.

Still, it was kinda surprising how the suns managed to do well in playing catch-up. If anything, they exceeded expectations in this one and made other teams rent free inside their own heads.

West is a blood bath, East is a bubble bath. It’s good to see Adam silver honoring that long held tradition. In fact I think this is like the first time in 23 years the 8th seed in the western conference is gonna have a losing record.

This. The Suns were 13th in the West before the bubble. They made a good run but dug too large a hole pre-bubble. They are lucky they were invited on Zion's coattails.

Remember - this isn't their first time getting fvcked over either. Wasn't it the 2013-2014 season where Phoenix won like 48 games but STILL missed the playoffs out West...while we know what happened out East.

I LOVED when Cuban advocated that 2 of the Texas teams become Eastern Conference Teams.

Grizzlies, Pelicans, and etc don't belong out West, either.

I'm not sure what they're gonna do about this. Seems like they're waiting for franchises to catch up, and it's working to some degree.

Blame Jordan for being one of the worst team owners in the nba. I expect him to draft another nba draft bust. Eastern Conference have terrible gm's and team owners. Just look at lebron in his 2nd year in The West they have the best record in their conference.

AD has been playing in the Western Conference, has made the playoffs, and now he has help in Lebron James which will help in get further, hopefully. So far, AD has a solid cast around him and has led his team to the number one seed in the West. It took a while, but he's arrived.

Lebron in the West, without AD, is quite ugly. Never want to see that again, actually.

So masai ujiri was a terrible gm for letting kawhi win his first chip in the east during his one-year stay in toronto? Okay, if you so... Great logic, btw.

Raptors have a great system. And Masai was originally a gm in the west.

He only played 55 games last year. The young core sucks. They under achieved in the bubble.

They only underachieved probably because they already sealed their position as the top seed in the west. The same thing can also be said for the bucks as top seed in the east and other teams who chose to tank as well.

Mostly they thought that saving their energy for the postseason is a crucial thing right now but it can't be denied that this season has been tainted already by the pandemic, regardless of who will be the last man standing.

Suns eliminated on a missed shot 134-133. Magic-Suns play-in game would have made that 8th spot in the East a lot more interesting.

As a Suns fan, it's whatever. The rules are the rules. We didn't deserve to make the playoffs in the end. We came so close but just fell short. Our record should have been better this season going into the bubble anyways. Ayton should have never got his dumb ass suspended for like 25 games, so many players shouldn't have got themselves injured this year, and we lost so many hellaaa close games this season, some of which we really should have won despite the injuries. Oh well. I predicted 35-40 wins this season, with the season being a transition year for the team and of course like any whole new young team I expected some growing pains this season. They still won 34 games despite the Ayton suspension and all the injuries AND a shortened season, none of which I could have predicted. So I'm more than satisfied with that. And even in most of their losses they were competitive af, which was refreshing to see after dealing with watching so many pathetic rosters full of G-league players that used to get blown out regularly.

Almost whole new roster, whole new coaching staff, whole new front office, shit even a whole new and improved arena and training facility being built rn as well. This is just a whole new team and hella young. Only 2 players in their primes(Rubio/Baynes) so they should theoretically only get better with time and experience. And this whole bubble thing was a good experience for them. With their backs against the wall, every game felt like a playoff game. Would have been cool to see them in the play-in, but at least they can walk away from this thing knowing they did everything they could. And they finally gained some respect and aren't a laughing stock anymore. Hopefully they build on this and make the playoffs next year, the future is looking bright.

The suns should have been picked against the tblazers in the play in instead of the grizzlies, in order to determine which amongst the two teams would really be locked as the west's 8th seed. Sadly tho, any of them three will be fatigued the moment they'll face the lakers in the first round.

It was designed so the pelicans could make the 8. The league wants to push Zion as a superstar instead of the fat bust he will be there.. hence the play in game for 8th seed even though there is a clear 8th place team. What a stupid idea..
Nice of the pelicans to not even try even though they had the easiest schedule of all time:lol

Poor, poor cashew showing his lack of intelligence again. There isn't a 'clear 8 seed' because teams haven't played the same amount of games due to a large portion of the season being called off. How hard is that to understand, honestly? We expect nothing, yet you still disappoint.
