That would have been another all time playoff signature shot.

A stumbling, off-balance fading jumper on two defenders with Shaq leaping at him to give his team the lead by 1 from down 1 with 9 seconds left in overtime to lead the series 3-2 and go home for the close-out.

Extra props to clutch shots that come from being down, which have far bigger pressure than those from tied positions.

Instead this happened after:

lol It's common knowledge it was a legitimate foul. There are better angles that show Wade was clearly fouled.

Wade was the original harden.

Not really. Wade actually attacked the rim to finish. He was just so good you had to pretty much foul him. Harden basically drives for the foul most of the time. And yeah, Wade has one of the greatest pump fakes of all time. What makes it even better is that he wasn't a great shooter yet defenders fell for it his entire career anyway.

Dirk re-tracts his knee before colliding with Wade

On the other hand, jumpshooting Dirk led the ENTIRE 2006 Playoffs in freethrows. Wade was second.

1. Jumpshooting Dirk 205 FTM
2 .All Time penetrating guard Wade 202 FTM

Even if you go by FTA, there's not that much of a dropoff. The two all timers finished 1 and 2 in that category as well, despite one again being an elite slasher and the other being Dirk, who didn't even have the more physical game he had by 2011, as evidenced by his classic layup against Bosh.

Wade - 250 FTA
Dirk Nowitzki - 229 FTA

Watch the clip, Harris' getting Wade's arm happens AFTER the foul call, he was merely preventing the and-one.

Dirk's hand on there is nothing, a standstill picture accentuates the contact.

They called the foul on apparent contact down low

Don't make me educate you again

No, it wasn't, you ****ing idiot.

Harris grabbed Wade's arm. That's foul #1.

Dirk pushed him in the back. That's foul #2.

That's two fouls committed on the same play. Not to mention the FACT that the foul was called on Dirk for the hand in the back. Not Harris.

I tried to teach you before, but you and your two brain cells are capable of processing this information.

EDIT: Wade went 4-5 in the final 2:30 of regulation and scored 9 points. If the refs wanted to fix the game, why wouldn't they give him an and 1, when he made a shot with like 2 seconds left to tie the game?

The foul was called on DIRK, shit for brains.

That's what happens when you're a shit defender. The only thing you can do is foul.

Wade played for the whistle as much as anybody ever. By the same token Harden plays for it on drives, Wade used to play for it on jumpers all the time with no intention of hitting the shot, but solely baiting a foul with pump fakes.

Up 2-0 and lost 4 straight. Wade was Kawhi and Dirk was Giannis.

WTF? The vast majority of points in the clutch were on shots that Wade made. Not FT's.

You do know that Wade's FTr is .424 and Kobe's is .382. Negligible, considering the fact that Wade takes significantly more shots at the rim than Kobe.

Honestly, your post reads like you've never watched Wade play and the only knowledge you have about his game is from other Brick turds on message boards.

I was counting the number of fouls on the play. Can't help it if you can't comprehend that basic fact, even though, in the SAME post, I said the foul was called on Wade.

Hold the L and move on. Dirk fouled Wade and Wade went to the line.

I didn't like the "foul" then and don't like it now. If it was called on Dirk that makes it even worse, because Harris "grabbed" Wade's arm first. Then again, that finals was an entire foul fest.

You do know that Wade's FTr is .424 and Kobe's is .382.

Wade's FTr in the 2006 playoffs was .567... way more than Kobe's career .382.

So you just illustrated the point. He was at a record pace in that run and broke records in the Finals.

Kobe in 2005 had a FTr of .502. That was for an ENTIRE season. Not a small PO run. BTW, that's from a primary jumpshooter. Meanwhile, Wade takes the vast majority of his shots at the rim.

As for the Finals, the vast majority of points in the clutch were on shots that Wade made. Not FT's.

I have a question. Why are you surprised that a player who lived at the rim, and is also considered one of the GOAT slashers, gets more FT's than jump shooters?

Kobe's FTr for all 5 championships was .360 in the playoffs.

2006 Wade was .567.

Massive difference AJ.

There's no way you can spin it. Kobe wasn't Dirk... he is one of if not the best in game dunker of all time behind vince carter. He didn't play for FT's like Wade did and the number bear that out tremendously across massive playoff game sample size.

Again, try reading. Kobe takes significantly more jumpshots than Wade. Wade lives at the rim and is one of the GOAT slashers.

You're also comparing ALL of Kobe's winning PO runs to ONE of Wade's. Combine Wade's championship runs, he's at 4.4.
