Embbid is the one Sixer that definitly shouldn't be criticized for his performance.He's doing 30 and 15 (or something, I didn't look that up) and making it tough for the Celtics to score inside. Late in the game Embiid gets gassed and looks to draw fouls instead of finishing over Daniel Theis and Enes Kanter. Dude should be eviscerating them late. He also had the crucial turnover. It's on him.

He does lack in conditioning but I completely reject the analysis that ignores the fact Philly's bench only had one gy that even scored (9 points) with the whole team shooting awfully (29.5%) and Embiid's 35% being the best shooting on the whole team. The reason he was trying to draw fouls is that it's the only thing they did that was working. Over the series Embiid has scored over a third of Philly's points so you think the losing is on him? Your position is ridiculous. 30 and 13 on 46% for the series. Tobias Harris is averaging 13 points on 33% (with 11 boards...which doesn't make up for the scoring). Who is really not showing up here?

It's not so much Brett schemes its an actual weakness that Embiid has never improved no matter what team. I blame Brett for a lot of things (like he should have been fired awhile ago). Embiid poor passing out of doubles isn't one of them. His decision making when doubled is disastrous. If this was an isolated situation I'd agree. But its one thing Embiid doesn't get enough criticism for. Not sure if he needs to study films of great passing big men or what. If its not a turnover its a travel.
