Refs still awarding flopping to much and calling to many fouls for nothing. The best thing about playoffs is the physicality and they aren't allowing it so far. Defenders are still scared to be physical and guys are still getting to the hole with ease. Maybe it's just early and they're making an adjustment so it's gonna take a few games but so far this dosn't like look like playoff basketball. The no fans thing is even more noticeable during the playoffs for some reason.

it is a myth that less fouls are called in the playoffs. look up ftr for any year. add on the bubble's unique in that refs can hear a lot more contact. it'll go down a bit since good teams should be disciplined with the stupid fouls at least.

That's because it isn't real playoff basketball OP. We have a last ditch, completely watered down product right now. The NBA truly ended in March for this year. The entire regular season was was meaningless. We could have played ZERO regular season games, given the NBA teams an 8 game preseason, and then slot them into the seeds based on talent on paper and bam, we have the "playoff bubble".
What we have left right now is a hollow imitation.

Its not that fouls go up or down that makes the difference its the type of shit that's called. If theres an understanding that you can be more physical than the physicality bar is set to a different standard and thats how guys will defend. Anything above that bar will most times be called as a foul. This year for whatever reason the bar hasnt changed. So yes the fouls will be the same but the bar is set much differently.
