It's what Kobe would have wanted. It's destiny.

If Kobe was white nobody would give a shit about his death. You couple that in the colorado incident? And he be buried if he was white now. Nobody would be crying over his charred corpse.

You have be really young to believe this. There are no smart phones, tablets, monster pc's etc in the mid 90s. If Larry Bird had suddenly retired and died in 1992 it would have been like a two week foot note. You just have no idea what you are talking about so just do the gentlemanly thing and, just, shut, the ****, up.

It be a 2 week footnote but would be brought up often later. Kobe didn’t get randomly brought today it was the 8/24 thing

Lay off the alcohol and stop acting like white people are some poor victims in this, people gave a shit about Kobe because he had a legendary career on the most historic franchise in the league and was doing great things post-basketball. He suffered for a long time because of the Colorado incident, media (from CNN to ESPN & FOX) was bringing up the Colorado case while his body was still warm within hours of the crash.. Obviously the tragic nature of his & Gigi's death helped amplify it.

Nah it would be talked about for a long time and still be talked about nonstop by basketball fans. "Really young"? You sound really young if you don't know how big of a deal Larry Bird was in the 80's and even the 90's after he played basketball. I grew up for part of Larry Bird's time and a little after and even after he was retired kids all still would say they were Larry Bird on the playground. You know how people say "kobe" after taking a shot or even throwing a crumpled piece of paper into the garbage can? That was Larry Bird at one time. He was iconic.
