Players saw the error of their ways?
Owners made huge concessions?
This was always supposed to be just a 1-2 day thing?

Can't figure this one

Not that I think you think that’s true but....playoff pay is nothing to these guys. The extra pay per game breaks down to like 12 thousand dollars. Even the poorest full season nba player wouldn’t notice 12-20k extra to finish a series. They get their real money in the regular season.

The players are not owned by anyone. The teams are owned, and players willingly (eagerly) signed very lucrative contracts to play on those teams because their Plan B is nowhere near as fruitful and their Plan A. They are free to quit playing (as some have), displease the team owners, and then do whatever they want to do at any time.

But you knew that already.

The players are emotional clowns that immediatley go to the extremes and then realize the errors of their ways a couple days later. They then start backtracking like the hoes they truly are, emotional nikkas doing emotional nikkas stuff

If they walked out and ended the season, it would be a lockout year next season. That's when the players would be losing big money.

cos they realised, all those who got shot all have criminal background, like underage sexual predator etc, cant stan for that, so rather come back and play ball.

Not only is this not true, but even if was, it is scary take. "The guy was a criminal so he deserves to be murdered!" That would be like saying Steve Bannon deserves to be killed because of his charity scam with the wall or Trump deserved it because of his fake university scam that he had to settle 25 million for.

It was an impulsive decision from the bucks who received support from the rest of the league. bucks are from wisconsin so it makes sense why they felt obligated.

and then cooler heads prevailed supposedly with mj's help.

most of the players want to finish the season.

They had a collective emotional outburst caused by 1 or 2 players on the Bucks' idiocy. It snowballed from there because while everyone else was already aware of this most recent situation, they were happy to keep playing prior to the Bucks stomping their feet.

Herd mentality kicked in and they all started throwing a tantrum.

The Bucks then realized that they ****ed up while others were still fuming. Everyone went to sleep, woke back up, realized they were acting like clowns and that what they were doing wasn't going to really do anything except draw attention to themselves, and they started to think through everything, and now they're playing again.

Barkley & Shaq had it right. They supported their decision to stop playing, as they should, because nobody should be able to force someone into doing a job they don't want... but then... what's the plan? And what about the next time this happens? I think they realized they didn't have a plan... they would try to move the needle in a few spots that aren't really going to address the systemic change that they want and here we are.

Further, to stray from the topic... this type of interaction between black people and police is going to continue to happen and it's not because of racism. It's because black people disproportionately commit a **** ton of crime compared to their population size. Now, it very well may be that slavery is at the root of why this behavior disproportionately impacts the black community, and if it's at all possible we need to do everything we can as a country to fix that, but I assure you, their behavior in the short to medium term is going to continue regardless of what measures we put in place, and the interactions with police are going to continue exactly as they are right now. A huge problem with this entire thing is a significant portion of the U.S. population is being lied to about how it's open season on black people, and they're eating the bait up on the daily.

A bigger issue than black people being shot by police is media reform. I don't even begin to know about how to fix that, but it is beyond clear to anyone paying attention that the freedom of the press part of the constition, which is tied in with the first amendment, has run amok and news agencies are blatantly out of control with pushing emotionally inflammatory narratives rather than accurate reporting.

continuing the nba season will honestly give players a bigger platform for any cause they want to support so that makes sense too.

No it's just funny since you, you know, have to use the police to murder millions of people in order to "dispose of capitalism" seeing as how lots of people don't want to live like insects.

Lmao what a joke of a "boycott" just like the joke that is "black oppression" to begin with.

Police kill at most a dozen or two unarmed blacks(most of which are criminals who also weren't cooperating with the cops or straight up assaulting them) in a year out of 48,000,000+ blacks in the country(who have the highest murder and crime rates out of any race by far) and Lebron's sitting in his heavily guarded mansion in his exclusive gated community of the rich and famous and he's over here crying like a bitch on Twitter pretending that it's so scary to be black in AmeriKKKa because of the big bad scary racist police that have a goal of hunting blacks down by the hundreds of thousands 24/7 nationwide.

You literally have the same chance getting killed by the police as a black person as you do getting killed by a lightning strike, and similarly both can be easily avoided. Don't wanna get struck by lightning? Stay inside your house. Don't wanna get shot by the police? Stay out of crime and fully cooperate with them when you get into some shit. Sure there are a few tragedies where the lightning goes through your electricity and shocks you through your computer keyboard, just like a few undeserving black people get tragically killed by a trigger happy, nervous, or maybe even a racist cop. And those people deserve justice. But the fact is people are brainwashed into thinking the numbers are bigger than they truly are, and burning down cities, looting, rioting, and spreading more hate and violence isn't bring anyone justice. Just further dividing races for no reason, causing more hatred during a global pandemic, and bringing even more people undeserved injustice.

It's just embarrassing how so many celebrities like Lebron have acted during this, acting like he's the pillar of fighting for justice in our society. Meanwhile blacks were getting blamed for coronavirus in China and getting evicted from their homes and banned from all shops/hotels/restaurants just because of their skin color and yet Lebron was slurping the **** out of some Chinese dick just to protect his bank account. Where was Lebron when Daniel Shaver got murdered in cold blood in a hotel hallway by the police? He didn't say jack shit, probably didn't care at all. That's the "equality" he wants. He probably doesn't even care about George Floyd or any of the black people killed either, just using it for clout and political narrative. This is the same dude who claimed someone spray painted the N word on the door of his guarded mansion, yet didn't show a single security video of the incident let alone a picture of the door itself. Shit's such a ****ing joke lmao.

Shit even BLM themselves is completely full of shit and is clearly created just to utilize black anger for political influence. They don't really think black lives matter... they only care about their political narrative. The main killer of black people BY FAR is black people. And yet BLM never wants to discuss that or come up with any solutions to lower the black on black crime rates because it doesn't fit their victim card narrative. How can you call yourself Black Lives Matter but sweep the biggest issue killing blacks under the rug? It's all a ****ing sham, and it's embarrassing how many in this country are falling for this BS.

Good luck getting the public to hold businesses more accountable with the current social arrangement in place. Dweebs like you think they can state a cliche like this and they solved the issue, without even bothering to think why what youre suggesting hasn't happened already if it was possible within the framework.
