They were never in the flow of offense scorers but they found ways to contribute defensively. Bosh literally put up a 0pt game and people here are advocating that they should have gotten more touches Offensively :biggums:

Imagine taking two guys (Bosh and Love) to the Finals 4 times each, 8 total years, when their previous best was 0 playoff series wins (Bosh) and 0 playoff appearances :lol :lol

Yep. They were role players. Could give you 20 every now and then but they were there mainly to spread the floor and defend the pick and roll.

Actually they were lower tier franchise guys forced into role player positions to suite Lebrons ball dominating-assist hunting style of play. Nice try though.

Franchise players? :lol

Franchise players = can't win a playoff series (Bosh) and can't MAKE a playoff appearance (Love)?

Sounds like they needed LeGOAT more than LeGOAT needed them :lol

Bosh and Love were both in top 5 in PER the years they got traded/left as FA. Bosh was ranked 4th. Funny acting like they were role players. Love actually put up some MVP-type numbers being 3rd in PER and 2nd in OBPM, and dude was just 25. Minnesota wasn't that bad either -- the West was just loaded. All 8 playoff teams posted 50-plus win records. They would have easily been a playoff team in the LEAST, and you can tell that by looking Minny's splits where they beat up on that crappy conference. Toronto was bad, but then they had always been bad until recently. All the team in the Least were bad back then. Just total crap top to bottom, which is why when Lebron finally one the cripple fight that was the EC playoffs, they got utterly destroyed by San Antonio. It's a shame we didn't get a chance to see these guys grow into their own as franchise leaders, but the league has colluded for years to get LeUSAGE% help. League knows there isn't enough talent to go around for all these franchises, so they have to front run Lebron and make him out to be Jordan, which he isn't. Lebron is the only player ever to have the league moving heaven and earth and bending over backwards to have entire teams rosters swapped just so this guy can have respectable team. That's how it ends up with all these league leading PER guys like Bosh, Love, and Davis. Too bad there careers all eventually get derailed from teaming up with him. Hope Davis likes people calling him a "role player" a few years from now.

Using PER, Karl Anthony Towns was the 4th best player in the NBA in 2019 and Russell Westbrook was #1 player in 2017. Do you really want to use PER as a measurement of greatness? If so, then...

LeBron had the greatest playoff run ever in 2009 (37 PER ) *minimum 14 games
LeBron had the greatest playoff run through the Finals ever in 2018 (32.2 PER)
LeBron has more 30 PER playoff runs than MJ

LeBron is the true GOAT

I can get behind that if you want to talk about PER :lol

Lebron's best PER in a title run was 30.3, Jordan 32.0

Jordan has the higher PER, WS/48 & BPM in both RS & Playoffs

both were locks to make the HOF before joining Lebron (according to bballref), but now they probably aren't going to make it because of their stint with Lebron

they would be better respected if they'd kept dominating on their own team like say Lillard, than joining Lebron

lebron takes stars like love/bosh and makes them look like role players, while jordan takes role players like pippen and makes them stars.

Pretty much. Lebron haters claimed they were superstars, but zero playoff series wins and only 2 appearances without Lebron in their careers. Decent players who made their contribution, but not great players by any means.

You act like there is some wild divergence between PER and the other advanced stats. Bosh was 6th in OBPM, 7th in OWS and 13th in WS/48. Top 20 in almost every other stat. Same with Towns. Bosh was a top 10 to 15 player when he joined the Heat, and would have remained top player on any other roster.
