Doubtful, but that was a demoralizing loss. Just the mental aspect of blowing a game like that will take a toll. Knowing you were .5 away from going up 3-0 and basically having the series being over to now having to go back to the grind is a tough mental blow.

Actually interesting you should say that. I came in here to say that the Celtics haven’t demonstrated they’re clearly better yet, not in the way the Pistons did with the Lakers in ‘04. Even though the Lakers won Game 2 you already knew it was hopeless for them.

That ‘04 series is my barometer for how to tell if a team is actually better or not. Celtics haven’t shown enough. And really, it’s been pretty freakin even outside of the G1 first quarter.

Celts better look out, too, Raps were an OT close game away from being down 0-3 last year. I think the Celtics will win because Siakam just doesn’t have “it”, but their other guys still have enough to step in for him.
