He’s a much more dynamic player than Giannis. He is flourishing without him on the court

Giannis won't accept that he himself is the Pippen of the duo...

Agree atleast in the scoring sense. He needs the ball taken out of his hands

What would building around him entail exactly?
You think a team trades a Giannis type and hopes what comes back are players on such a level they would be in Middletons supporting cast?
You might trade him but would be hoping to get either an elite player or high enough pics to draft one.
The only teams doing anything with an even nearly Middleton level leader are the Heat and Raptors.....both of whom are reportedly trying to add Giannis anyway.

You trade Giannis and get what you can because he will leave

If Middleton is your best player, it's time to go into rebuild mode. Honestly, as much shit as Gianis gets (Its warrented) hes the main reason why the Bucks are this far to begin with.

No they shouldn't. Treams havnt created defensive schemes to stop him and the bucks with him as the leader. He's not that dude bro.

Middleton is not even a solid number 2. If Milwaukee keeps Giannis they need a new number 2 option and have Middleton be the 3rd

OP is smoking something good... It's like saying the Cavs should have built around Mo freaking Wiliams. If Giannis gets traded or leaves via free agency, the Bucks should just go in full rebuild mode immediately and tank for lottery picks in the upcoming years. You are NOT winning PO games if Middleton is your best player on your team now or in the future. Dumb hot take.

Well, I think the goal of the trade would be to get something good enough back where you actually don't have to tank immediately.
If he doesn't sign the supermax...trade Giannis and dump Bledsoe in the process....and get back some quality players and a couple draft picks.
Not paying Brogdon isn't talked about enough. Could be a very costly mistake depending on how this all shakes out.

Nah thats not what people were saying. People were acting like Middleton is a star or something and that you could actually build around this dude. He's barely a solid second option

My post has nothing to do with whether or not Middleton should be your best player...it is obvious he shouldn't.
I was just talking about not tanking. The goal of a Giannis trade should be that you don't have to tank. It is why I'd be listening to the Mavs about KP, some decent role players, and a couple future picks. At least with that you take a chance on a guy that could be the best player on title contending team...and don't have to tank in a market where it could be a long time before you actually rebuild.

yeah for sure. Kp would be interesting on tha bucks team with Middleton. Personally i think they should keep greek if they can. He's still young and developing. They should get some better pieces around him and see what they do before they give up on him

Oh, of course they should keep him.
I'm talking about if he doesn't sign the supermax or at least do something. I don't see how they can let him just walk out of town for nothing like Durant did.

Yeah we'll see. It does feel like he's on his way out. Hearing alot of chatter about him going to the warriors which would obviously be a good fit

Fun fact. Middleton's first name is really James. James Khristian Middleton.

I'd imagine he'll go to the team that offers the Bucks the best trade package. Could be the Warriors, but I seriously doubt Wiggins and some picks is going to be the best offer. Maybe something built around Draymond/Paschall and a ton of picks or something.
