It is funny how the two parties seem to be making a calculated swap of who gets the police vote.

When the country was proportionally more small gov white folks, Dems needed to keep that police vote by giving out bloated pensions and massive union concessions. Now as whites diminish in proportion and the country becomes more blue, they need to move those police votes back over to the Republicans to keep a more even split.

The funny thing is both parties are now acting like they've been about their current position the whole time. Dems have always been angered by police corruption and over funding, and blame the Republicans for letting it get to this point. Republicans believe we need more government funding for the police and can't believe Dems aren't willing to take care of them.

We're just supposed to forget or not notice that they've both completely flip flopped. And most people will.

He was with all the rioting, and referred to it as “peaceful protesting” up until it started to impact his poll numbers. Then he changed course.

How is support for rioting really any different than defunding the police?

Biden himself is not “in favor” of any one policy or another. Hes a career politician. He vocally supports whatever is best for his poll numbers at any given time.

My point is he clearly doesnt “want” to do anything.

If supporting riots and police defunding was good for his campaign, which they initially thought it would be, then he supports it. If it becomes a liability to his campaign, then hes against it.

Biden is a lifelong political hitman and a puppet for the DNC. His agenda as President will be to do whatever big banking and media interests tell him to do. If that means reducing police funding in certain areas to achieve political agendas, he’ll sign off. If it means increasing funding in certain areas to protect various interests... he’ll sign off.

He doesnt care one way or another. None of these lifelong bureaucratic puppets in either party are going to choose to fund or not fund police based on Primetime’s safety. It will be decided based on money and votes and opportunity for the people at the top.

Campaign rhetoric is meaningless. Theres nothing refreshing about obvious poll-driven pandering during an election.

My point is it shouldnt be “refreshing” to hear empty campaign promises. We hear that every election.

I guess it‘s refreshing for you to finally hear Biden disagree with many of his voters about the value of violent mob destruction. Thats an incredibly low standard and probably worth reflecting on for a moment, that it’s “refreshing” for you to hear the man you’ll vote for finally come out and say that. Why do police academies have potential officers do all these mile races, push up pull up challenges, basically a mini bootcamp... and yet, these guys don't know how to wrestle or submit somebody? Put these cops through an 8 week BJJ course where they learn every arm and leg bar. None of this shit would be happening. Their current physical fitness protocals call for strength. When you have skill and leverage you dont even need overwhelming strength. If you got some of these resisting fools in a legit arm bar, which is a joke to do with 2 guys on one, they would tap and fall REAL fast. Or have their arm snapped at the joint and rolling around on the floor in such agony they wouldn't be able to stop screaming.

They need to bring this training on board.

Everyone isnt a great athlete, and everyone isnt signing up to be a cop.

You dont have your pick of all the most perfectly qualified people on the planet. You can only pick from among those who sign up, and you have to pick a certain amount because society needs police.

I agree training is great, and the training they get has probably already prevented a number of would-be headlines. But it’s no guarantee. People panic, people are overmatched. Cops are human. There are thousands of them and theyre all interacting with suspects daily. Shit is going to happen once in a while.
