Garnett, but it's not that far off.

Anthony Davis and it's not even close. He's a more athletic Tim Duncan without passing ability.

We can't make a relevant comparison until AD's career has ended or is near the end. But I would say KG but AD is close too given the future trajectory.

AD is significantly more skilled and last year was better than any year including MVP year for KG

Career-wise the only reason KG should be ranked above is because of his longevity and one championship alongside other allstars.

Garnett played on, and even this is an understatement, godawful teams in Minnesota for the majority of his career and prime, still in all I am yet to see Davis produce a season equivalent to what Garnett did in 2004. The few seasons you could actually look at a team he was on and respect it were 04 (where Cassell got injured), 08 (when they won), 09 (when Garnett himself was injured) and 10 (when Perkins was injured).

Okay if he played on shitty teams his numbers should have been amazing (Take kobe's in 06 as an example)

KG has never averaged more than 25PPG in his career
AD has scored over that threshold nearly five years in a row

KG's MVP season stats: 24/14/5
AD last year: 26/12/4
AD the year before: 28/11/2
AD the year before that: 28/12/2

AD's career averages are nearly what KG's MVP season is like.

Kevin Garnett. He led an above average Wolves team in the Conference Finals. If Cassell didn't get injured the wolves advance in the nba finals.

AD as a 1b/second fiddle. Garnett as the clear cut best player leading the team.

Garnett is better.

Lakers would have no chance of losing if they had '08 or '04 KG anchoring this defense.

Stats without context don’t mean shit. We gon act like the league hasn’t softened the offensive rules since KG retired?

Garnett to me is the greatest defensive anchor of all time, I've never seen a player able to rally a team defensively like him. He's better overall I'd say. Davis has a great jumper but people forget KG's post fadeaway was MONEY. AD has never had a game like Garnett in the 04 conference semis game 7 vs the Kings.

Kind of crazy Fred Hoiberg and Gary Trent Sr were on that team. Damn, we are getting old.

Garnett in his absolute prime is an easy choice out of any AD we've seen so far.

Exactly. 95% of people here never watched KG on a consistent basis to realize just how good he was in his prime. AD is great but he isn't on prime KG's level yet. For all the people who just post stats to compare players just be aware of the fact that KG was one of the best TEAM defenders ever. He was an elite 1-1 defender but his team defense was otherworldly.
