The two-minute clip shows a group of men throwing stones with increasing intensity at a covered individual crammed in a hole in the ground. A crowd of onlookers are seen capturing the incident on their mobile phones and a woman's pitiful cries can plainly be heard.

Stoning is rare but still legal justice under Sharia punishment. Mostly for women that commit adultery.

The husband has the “honor” to throw the first stone. Then her children are coaxed into taking part. They are told to do it for God. The woman is allowed to try and escape, but she is buried too deeply. For the next 10 to 20 minutes the rest of the community joins in.

How often do middle eastern muslim men get convicted of adultery? Sharia Law of witnesses protects males, it's archaic and written in a day in a time when women didn't have rights. Women don't even count as a whole person under Sharia Law (witness), only half.

This religious justice system is keeping people in the middle east from advancing as a civilization.

But you must understand that the laxity that you have in your religion is only a temporary feeling of security. The pangs of what happens after death are extremely frightening. There are great difficulties that lie ahead in the Hereafter that one must prepare for. There is a reckoning where good deeds and sins will be weighed. It is our belief that Christians will burn in the inferno because of their shirk and kufr. Shirk is defined as ascribing partners to God, and that is done when Christians direct worship to Jesus/Mary or they ascribe divinity to Jesus--who does have miraculous birth but is still a creation of God. In contrast, Muslims direct every act of worship to their Creator alone. With thorough investigation into the Bible you will see that Jesus never called himself God.
Kufr is defined as disbelief (by rejection/arrogance etc.), and the Christians commit kufr by rejecting Muhammad (PBUH) as the Last Messenger. In contrast, Muslims believe in ALL of the Prophets and Messengers.

I invite you, sincerely, to look into the meanings of "Tawheed" and "Shirk" and "Kufr" and investigate deeply into the matter for your personal welfare in the Hereafter. Your beliefs are extremely important and it is vital to have the correct one's before you head over to the grave. Again, I ask you kindly to really research the ins and outs of "Tawheed" and "Shirk." And that admonition extends to myself and others. It is vital to be on pure Monotheism.

Causation does not equal correlation. Saudi, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Morocco, Malaysia, Indonesia, Turkey and Iran are actually very nice places by the way. I'm sure there are others.

And the value of someone should be linked to their heart--not their environment, no? You will meet the best hospitality on Earth from Muslims. I'm saying this and this is also the opinion of non-Muslims (like Drew Binsky on youtube) as well---when I visited Pakistan, the people there treated us with so much generosity and respect and would give away things for free.

We all know that the more stupid and uneducated masses are, the more religious they are.
Top scientist community is like 7% religious if I remember correctly, and some african tribe is 100% religious.
And so when community commits archaic forms of violence because they not as advanced as the other parts of the world, their religiosity is more of a consequence and not a cause of their actions and customs.

Also, muslims got kind of unlucky.
All religions were invented to control masses long time ago. And naturally all gods reflect the people who invented them thousands of years ago.
Humanity made a significant progress since and by todays norms all gods are kind of murderous, bloodthirsty, immoral assholes.
But christians made a lateral move. They invented Jesus and kept updating the guy as their community changed.
As a result, while core of religion - christian god, is as violent MF as guys from other religions, their interface - Jesus, is regulary updated, friendly and moral character.
You can't expect the same behaviour from people who still using Allah/Muhammad 1.0 and people with Jesus 13.265.14/b

No not Muslims. Arabs have this problem, South Asians have less of it. Almost every South Asian that I know that has migrated here is flourishing. Yeah there are a few that don't amount to anything, but for the most part we are successful and follow our religion. It has absolutely NOTHING to do with Islam. Islam is not holding anyone back. Islam has only further taught us to be decent human beings. You know why you don't hear about it? Because you only care about the negative things, or venture the islamophone websites.
