Lebron was ready to give him the keys and he pms’d badly in that last year in cleavland
Joins a Celtic team that went deep and shat the bed there causing divisions among players there, cause and effect his temper tantrum led to Isaiah Thomas not getting paid otherwise Celtics would have at least game him a decent contract to keep him with no other players to get.
Then he joins Brooklyn, young team that moved the ball well with Russell, looked like a younger version of that Celtics team he destroyed for a year... and boom, plays whenever he feels like, sits out the playoffs, told team to trade the team... what a dickhead

Who did Kyrie ask to get traded on bkn. Only move that hurt the young core of bkn was signing Jordan who cuts into Allen’s minutes and he and kd both wanted that. We just got to see how good bkn is next year

Kyrie is going to be exposed for the self-important baby he really is. He's a cancer. Him and Durant deserve each other. If both play next season, it's going to be a disaster. Durant will "leak" bad shit about Kyrie and Kyrie will passive aggressively respond to it in press comments.

Kyrie is exactly where he needs to be to excel. He's an excellent second option and has already proven as much.

Brooklyn is gunna be a problem and Manny is gonna run havoc on this board for years to come lol

He's an alpha and Brans shtick wore on him.

He'll be fine suited next to KD who carries himself a little less aggro than LBJ does.

LeBron wasn't giving keys to shit. That's just some shit he said to try to appease Kyrie and other people.

LeBron is still in year 17 and he is the on court and off court leader of the Lakers and he's playing with a player in Anthony Davis that is better than Kyrie will ever dream about being... and LeBron still has the keys.

It's just some bullshit line that he's using for whatever reason. LeBron isn't handing over shit until he retires or his play drops off significantly.

Lebron was doing too much, too many yes men around him & Irving was tired of being a scapegoat. I can understand why he'd leave Boston, Rozier thought he should be the starting PG (:kobe:) & a 2nd year Tatum thought he should be the #1 option (:kobe: :kobe:).

How'd that work out? :lol

Took LeBron only 3 years to turn a literal career loser (0 playoff game wins) into a HOF candidate.

They are definitely going to make folks mad, but I am not so sure whether for good or bad reasons. They are capable of stomping the East as they are of turning the season into a real-life soap opera.

Kyrie is very unlikeable, same with KD. But they are great players. I don't wish them well, but they better succeed. Even though nobody in the city cares about the Nets, they might actually criticize them if they don't get them deep into the playoffs.

And Retarded Westbrick is?

:lol

Kyrie is definitely an oddball weirdo.

Probably with some depression or social issues obviously as well.

With that said, he’s better than Dame Disappointing Lillard. The guy everybody was sucking off for his play in the bubble when no one was taking it seriously or playing anything remotely resembling defense.

And then in the playoffs when the game slows down and people play better defense, he disappears. Why? Because he’s content trying to shoot 35 footers consistently. Kyrie has much more offensive diversity in his game. He’s the best isolation scorer along with Kevin Durant. He doesn’t just settle for 35 foot long range bombs. He can shoot the three and knock it down consistently. Off catch and shoot or off the dribble. But he’s a dynamo and getting to the basket and the craftiest, and probably best finisher I’ve ever seen who isn’t some guy 6 foot 4 and above as some genetic freak otherworldly super athlete who can just finish above the rim consistently.

He can score with either hand he’s just ridiculous around the cup. Go re-watch the 2016 finals. They have 6 foot 6 Klay Thompson on him, who along with Iggy is probably their best on ball defender, Kyrie is 3 to 4 inches shorter than the guy and is just absolutely abusing him off the dribble, in the half-court, set defenses, minimal space, crazy layups around the cup, or even using angles on bank shots and pull up mid range jumpers.

Dame Lillard has no in between game. And if I’m being honest when he tries, Kyrie is actually a fairly decent defender. He played great defense on Curry in all their finals matchups. Blocking his shot several times etc.

Besides that trash playoff series against Milwaukee, where he oddly seemed LeBron esque levels of detached because he knew he was leaving, his resume and career besides his durability issues is pretty flawless.

What sticks out the most about Kyrie is how much better his teammates play individually without him, which translates to significantly more team success despite his individual talent. He is more talented than Rozier, Dinwiddie, and even Walker but those teams all performed much better with them in the lineup instead of Kyrie. I am not aware of any other star whose teams consistently do better without him.

The thing is if Kyrie is your leader and he’s having a bad game your team WILL lose. The whole ship goes down. With Kemba he doesn’t hijack the whole team

And kyrie’s isn’t either with him being the main guy.

The problem is basketball is a team sport and his personal ceiling comes at the expense of the rest of the squad.

Tatum 18'-20' in the PO: 19/4/3 58%, 15/7/2 53%, 25/10/4 58%
Brown 18'-20' in the PO: 18/5/1 56%, 14/6/1 62%, 21/8/4 55%
Horford 18'-19' in the PO: 16/8/3 63%, 14/9/4 53%

The argument is Tatum, Brown just naturally grew as young players--but they regressed in 19'.

If this happened only in Boston it would be one thing but we see the same trend in Brooklyn.

LeVert I (with Kyrie): 17/5/4 on 42% FG 9.2 GS (9 games)
LeVert II (with Kyrie): 10/3/3 on 32% FG 5.4 GS (11 games)
LeVert III (w/out Kyrie): 24/5/6 on 46% FG 17.7 GS (22 games)

Pick a player and it is the same thing over and over. These are massive increases with Kyrie removed from the equation.

We will get more data next year. Kyrie can't play full seasons but I suspect we will see more of the same when he is out.
