Is it zero? Maybe 1?

Victims list includes Isiah, Jordan, Kidd, Iverson, and others like Muggsy who 22 year olds laugh at while not knowing he was the toughest person to dribble against arguably in history.

I do so love a legal crossover.

This guy was a baller. Why is he all but forgotten? We hear a lot about a guy like KJ but little about Hardaway.

Bad combo of starting his career out west where few got to see him often and getting hurt before coming East a little slowed down and more of a jump shooter as the league trended towards defense and slowing it down which wrecked the shooting numbers of guys like him who had a lot of bail out in their games where they had to make shit happen in an emergency. He just wasnt made for a slowed down defense first team trying to grind out 88-83 wins by kicking your ass.

Whole career post 06 or pre 95 he might have been more famous. Legacy wise I mean. Everyone was working on the Utep two step back then. We knew all about him.

He was a beast in those old video games like NBA Showdown.

The Heat were contenders with him and Zo' but he got there towards the end of his prime (he remained great, 97' arguably was his best season, but he started to decline shortly thereafter). If Hardaway and Zo' teamed up in 93' that would have been something to watch.

Damn, those were NASTY crossovers.

Yea he spent most of his Heat career in decline and that’s where his biggest playoff moments are from ad some of them ugly(not all though). He fell off a cliff too. No gradual decline. He went from a star to a little above average to barely holding a roster spot in like 3 years.

NBA Showdown.

Haha, that brings back some memories. Weird how basketball games got so much more complex but not necessarily that much more fun to play. Think I seen Tim and those close to him say he has been blackballed from the HOF due to a homophobic comment on social media or something.

He flat out said “I hate gay people” in an interview and you can’t survive that.

He has since made better of the situation. "You can't survive that"...Is this really what we've come to as a society? Literally handing over power to the media? Choosing to live in an alternate reality? If people don't forgive him it says more about themselves than it does about him.

Not sure I worded that right but oh well.

I’m not talking about his legal rights. I’m saying...you can’t get away with this:

That’s like the realest most direct answer ever given to the media and he got slaughtered for it.

Yeah, that game was so primitive as were its predecessors Bulls vs. Blazers and Bulls vs. Lakers. NBA Live 95' was the first good NBA game.

He did but he has become a LGBT rights activist since. He was campaigning for some ballot initiative in Florida where he symbolically was the first signature on it.

He flat out said “I hate gay people” in an interview and you can’t survive that.

His path is the Vick path: atonement and activism. If he keeps up the LGBT activism at some point, he would hope, his good deeds outweigh what he said but maybe not. That is his only shot, though.

I tend to think thats likely the main reason the league distanced themselves from him, though in recent years he's been a gay rights advocate ( privately I doubt his sentiments changed much).

Speaking of NBA Showdown. I remember NBA Showdown '94. I hated that game. They would always block my shot. It was like you couldn't get a shot up for your life.

There was one? I thought they EA went from NBA Showdown to NBA Live 95' (came out in 95' but covered the 94' season, while Showdown covered the 93' season).

The TE GOAT: Derrick Coleman actually (he could block shots and shot threes, two things that mattered in dunkathons).

Yeah there was a 94 Showdown, had an in-game shot of Ewing and a few Bulls. I think the first NBA Showdown only appeared on SNES and then it came out for Genesis as '94' the following year. Live 95 came out a few months later so EA actually released two NBA games on Genesis in 94.

I saw one carry at 0:50, but it was before the crossover while dribbling half court.
Tim Hardaway was the Mr. Crossover and he did it cleanly with the ball always beneath his hand. Nowadays far more liberties are allowed.

Can only imagine him with the liberties of modern ball-handling allowances.

Ah, that explains. I had SNES so I never got Showdown 94' but as you noted Live 95' came out around that time anyway.

Ive always favored ball control first and keeping it legal. So ive always leaned to guys like Isiah, Rod Strickland, and Tim as the best ball handlers but Kyrie is one of the few modern guys id put in that class far as control....hes just heavy on the illegal things at times. Spin move carries and all. Hes as close as modern guards get to clean though. Throwing out the mildly illegal aspect id say Kyrie is as good a ball handler as ive ever seen.

Him, Abdul Rauf (Chris Jackson days) and Kenny Anderson were the some the flashiest PGs of the pre-Iverson crossover era

He can hate millions of people for something they didn't choose....but the real problem is people hating HIM for having an asshole opinion? Lol

Iverson crossover on Antonio Daniels is still the best. It was so simple yet so effective. Daniels couldn’t even get up got dropped again
