His defensive schemes are working.
You could see the adjustments the Lakers made both against Portland and against Houston.
It feels like the more time Vogel and his staff get to see a team, the more havoc the Lakers can inflict defensibly.
Now, I don't know if it is Vogel specifically or the coaching staff collectively but I think they should get a ton of credit for how they are dealing with arguably the best offensive player in the league.

Vogel has amazing in game adjustments. He is a really good defensive coach and he believed in playoff Rondo this whole time.

Vogel has always been a legit good coach. Any coach’s success is predominately about the roster but you can hear in his interviews he knows what the **** hes talking about and isnt just a “rah rah, pick up the energy” guy.

Lebron with a defensively minded coach is a great combination.
It took him far too long to realize he couldn’t play his centers against Houston. Definitely did a good job today though.
When i say vogel is a thousand times better coach than ty lue, then that is true. Never false. And while I don't like to see the lakers win another championship (oh gag me), if they win then it will be another testament to his resume.

He's a solid coach, also installed a defensive oriented team in Indiana. Glad he got the job over Lue, I was just shaking my head when I heard rumors of him being the next coach after Luke got fired.

Yeah he is a good coach. He proved that in Indiana. That team had a very flawed roster around Paul George yet still made back to back conference finals.
Always got to love the NBA where Rondo was a nemesis of Lebron for years and Vogel was the coach he needed to beat 3x to get to the Finals, yet here they all are together trying to win a title for a team none of them were associated with when they were rivals.

Still get a laugh out of dipshits like SAS including Ty Lue as someone Nash won out over due to "white privilege".

You're under appreciating the impact that LeBron and Rondo have the more time THEY see a team. They're basically coaches too.
