But I feel like they had to have balled for more than a couple of baby years and 1 towards the end of theirs to have gelled properly, especially with the way Russ plays. Could have been great in OKC. But avoiding the luxury tax was more important than building I guess. But then again, who knows if Harden ever becomes the monster he is now on that team. A lot of what ifs.

I never thought they would really work in the playoffs, outside of a 'punchers chance' scenario but both would have to be on their game and that hasnt been the case. Russ hasn't recaptured the form he had betwern Jan and March coming off that injury. They had a weird thing going during the season where Harden was putting up insane numbers till the new year, then Russ went off in January putting up crazy stats. Think it was too much of a 'my turn, your turn' thing that would eventually get picked apart by the right team.
