KG was better, but Davis getting to the Lakers in the heart of his prime is going to likely pay huge dividends for him compared to KG...who didn't get out of his awful situation until he was 31. Davis getting out 5 years earlier might work wonders for his legacy.

But just basketball...KG was better imo.

Yea, but why was he better? Theor stats seems to be basically equal. Only difference i see is KG made it to WCF when he got Cassell and sprewell that one year. If you look at regular season and postseason play i probably give slight edge to AD.

Of course. Nothing Davis has done yet even touches what KG did in 04.

Now, if Davis plays amazing and they beat the Clippers and win the title...we'll see. But even then...playing next to Lebron makes life a lot easier.

AD is a better scorer, but KG is a better rebounder and passer. And granted it's harder to play defense nowadays, but KG did have more impact on the defensive side.

He just has more impact in his game and to the teams that he was in.

I think they are the same "tier" of player for the first 8 years. Remember, KG's 04 season was his 9th year. If I had to chose, I would go with AD.

KG - 19/10/4 with 10/10 defense - 22.1 PER, 5.2 BPM, 108 ORTG/101 DRTG

AD - 24/10/2 with 9/10 defense - 27.4 PER, 6.3 BPM, 117 ORTG/103 DRTG

It's not like KG's teams were going far in the playoffs either - KG played 29 playoff games and AD right now is at 22 and counting...
