Clippers have just as many guys who looked up to Kobe. Kawhi even trained with him.

Kobe's legacy by his retirement went PASSED just being a Laker.

Having that said, it's weird that most of these stans weren't paying kobe some respect until he passed away last january and now with the lakers back in action in the playoffs say things like this is for him.

Well it obviously wasn't going to be for him if he was still living. Kobe is a Laker Legend, but so are West, Wilt, Kareem, Magic and Shaq and nobody is talking about winning this title for them.

Those aren't basketball fans. They are just Lebron fans, and they still badmouth Kobe every chance they get. For Lebron fans it is not enough that Lebron succeeds, but all others must also fail. This is why Lebron's millennial douchebag fans hate Kyrie and Durant so much. They went offscript of Lebron redeeming himself after The Decision by bringing multiple championships to Cleveland a la Jordan-like run. He did get one there but the league had to help him by kicking GSW's players out of the series.

Honestly, the worst part about this entire league-wide display of corporate collusion and graft getting him superteam, after superteam, and yet another superteam or the behavior of his douchebag fans is the fact that a genuine ambassador of the game and true competitor in Kobe Bryant died tragically this year, and so we have to hear these dumb-dumbs sanctimoniously talk about Lebron's "courage" and how is "doing it all for Kobe" when his career has been so fake and polished and the exact opposite of everything Kobe ever represented -- that is, a true competitive spirit.

You are 100% right. I could care less but I don't, I care a lot and so does Kobe about LeBron winning the championship.

You literally did a paragraph saying they just want others to fail to build up Lebron than your next paragraph trashing Lebron. You probably aren't the best person to talk about what people care about since you are the person you describe who just hates Lebron and wants him to fail.

Here is the reality. There are people who believe Lebron is better than Kobe, yet still respect Kobe and obviously feel it was a tragedy that he died. Lebron and Kobe were friends, so what fans say don't matter anyway. The Lakers want to win a title for Kobe in 2020 for obvious reasons. There is far more hatred directed towards Lebron with your post as a prime example than what has been directed at Kobe at least in the last decade.

At some point you'll have to come to terms with LeBron's greatness. The numbers, FMVPs & longevity are all objective toward him so what is your excuse?

They literally dominated the last two games and got out to a 33-11 lead today. Maybe the NBA told Westbrook to brick shots on purpose?

Their admiration for Kobe is as phony as their admiration for LeBron. They (lambruh, thecorporation, manny23, gus hemmingway, alternativeaccount etc etc etc etc the list of alts go on) only pretend to like bron in order to troll and agonize the forum. Not sure why there wasn’t a second purge of these idiots since the first one worked so well and brought civil and intelligent threads back to ISH

Whatever you say... Lebron fans only care about Lebron. Basketball is secondary. You go to any message board forum and it's the same topics bashing Jordan, Kobe, Durant, Kyrie, Kawhi, Paul George, etc from his fans 100 percent daily. It is not just making conversation or discussion. They post with an agenda: to make Lebron look good and everybody else look bad. Everybody that has ever played with Lebron is a trash role player, and everybody that Lebron has ever lost to in the playoffs is ten feet tall and shoots fireballs out of their arse.

I don't hate Lebron at all, and don't have a problem with the dude. He's a great player... one of the greatest ever. His fans are the worst, of course. The other issue is with the league propping this guy up to drive ratings by getting him superteam after superteam. The whole Lebron era has been inorganic and hasn't felt like real basketball for a while now. NBA was talking about contraction in 2010 just before The Decision happened. There wasn't enough talent to build parity in the league. Tim Duncan the leagues other big star on a championship-level team was about as exciting as warm milk. Iverson was old and retiring and Kobe had made his run. Dirk was great but a foreigner and there has always been a bias against foreign players in the media. The league needed to do something. That's when Lebron's career started getting shamelessly massaged by the NBA. It's to drive ratings, and it worked. This is why the whole "for Kobe" thing is just laughable. Maybe Lebron genuinely feels that because he of course knew Kobe personally, but his fans? Nah, they don't really care about Kobe. They hated on Kobe the most to be honest because Kobe's style of play was so much like Jordan's.
