View Full Version : Now that Lebron is gonna win his 4th ring, where do you rank him?

Kobe still has one more ring than Lebron. Jordan 2 more rings. But Lebron is starting to get close, now with 4 rings pretty soon. Shoot. Do you think the Lakers are going to win next year too? That would put him at 5 rings. I wonder how Justin feels about Lebron now. I haven't seen him on here in a long time.

Lebron is so lucky to have 2 of his rings though. 4 and 6 is still not a great Finals record though. This will be his 4th, but Davis is probably the more skilled player right now between the 2. Still, Lebron is gonna get the credit.

The NBA isn't exciting right now because it's almost like they don't even have to play the games. You can just hand the Lakers the trophy. But I promise you that they'll never be as dominant as the 2017 Warriors. That team would have beaten up this team in 5 games. So no matter how good Lebron's team can be, they'll never be as good as the Warriors with KD. And if KD didn't get hurt and the Warriors were in the bubble, they'd be competing for another championship. They broke the league. Now they're broken up. But no team will ever be as good as they were. Every team comes and go. No team will ever match them.

You are too quick to put down the clippers or even the east teams. Boston with Hayward is very talented and versatile.

And yea the lakers won’t be in the warriors range or any all time team list unless they finish the playoffs like 8-1 and should get plenty of competition next year.

The west will have a lot of good to great teams including gs coming back. Mil and phi are likely making roster changes that will improve them and bkn will be healthy.

He's not moving up to #1. He's still going to be #2.

Top 5-10 maybe...no higher

If he won 4 without colluding 3 times...may be a different story

If he wins a ring and gets Finals MVP he's top 3 all-time, without a doubt.

FMVP is the pinnacle. Just counting rings in a team sport hides behind other players who might have carried you. LeBron wins his fourth FMVP he would be #2 behind only Jordan's 6. Hell, only 5 players have 3 or more. That's elite.

Bron can certainly be top 5 if he wins another ring.

I wish that were the case but Lebron just seems to have his way lately and has beaten the Clippers two times in a row. He seems to destroy anyone that crosses his path.

is it not his 6th, considering 15 and 18?

He's the GOAT already in my eyes so nothing changes

He's the best player I have witnessed with my two eyes and I will always have him above MJ as a player because I value guys that elevate their teammates over pure scorers

OP melting down. Lakers have a LONG way to go to get a ring.

Also Manny above me is basically admitting that Lebron is hit GOAT because he was too young to see MJ play lol.

Still 4th to me but we know this will re-ignite the GOAT conversation with most people between MJ and LeBron, hence the internet-wide meltdowns from shook MJ stans.

4th whoa. That's low, what is he know or what is his top 5?

Job is not over. Clippers could easily knock them out.

But if he wins, he’s still behind MJ for me at #2.

He’s 5th for me if he wins his 4th. I just can’t get over leaving to Miami it just didn’t workout as well as people thought. He collided and should be punished for it

4th still. KAJ, MJ, Wilt, LeBron, Russell to me. I don't put big stock in team results in individual evaluations in individual sports--most people do and the 4th ring will boost him a lot with them.

Jordan and Kareem will still be my top 2, but he'll definitely move up a knotch. Only Jordan has more than 3 Finals MVPs, so Lebron getting 4 Finals MVPs would also significantly boost his resume. His longevity is also hard to ignore.

It is hard to argue he doesn't greatly elevate his team. What he did with his first stint in Cleveland is still as impressive as anything I've seen from an individual player. I've never seen a player elevate a roster that bad. We all saw how bad that team was when he left too. This wasn't like Kawhi in Toronto where the team was still a 2 seed in the east or even Jordan where the team was still a competitive 55 win team.

I would put Jordan and Lebron top tier. I dont care how anyone ranks it but I have Jordan as clear number 1.

Next tier would be KAJ, Russell, Magic

Then Bird, Kobe, Wilt, Shaq

Then Hakeem, Duncan

I respect LeBron as a player and human for all the great things he's doing for society and his family.

And his career stands out more than anyone's

But the reality is that I had more power inside. Guys bounced off me. 6'10". Strong as an ox. I was the best PF in the league for a minute - 20/10 in my sleep - Barkley and Malone honestly couldn't touch me at my peak

And I was built like a GUARD. That's the key. Look at the way I moved out there - I already had handle, but in today's game, I would be a full-fledged guard... but still a better PF than Malone or Barkley... THAT'S the goat - me in this era - a goat-level PF that plays scoring guard

Lebron is nice but debateable top 5 based on resume... Debateable top 10 based on his game
