I can't believe I am saying this, but Euroleague has been right about Giannis the entire time. I digress. If Giannis does leave Milwaukee and that's a big IF, he should go to the Mavericks. It's just a no brainer. Here's why.
1. Dallas Mavericks have a max slot.
2. Giannis needs to be paired with another playmaker. What better playmaker than Luka Doncic? People want Chris Paul on the Bucks, but Luka is better right now and beyond.
3. The biggest problem the Mavericks have is their defense is super shit. Their offense is one of the best I have ever seen and it's the best offensive rating of all-time. They just need a defensive anchor and Giannis is it.
4. Mavs have one of the best benches in the league.
5. Rick Carlisle is one of the best coaches in the league and will use Giannis properly and has a system.
6. Giannis will not be Ben Simmons. Luka will handle the ball or they take turns, but Luka will be handling the ball more as he should.
7. The trajectory of the Mavs' stars (KP, Luka) is on the same timeline as Giannis. They will grow together. No one will say this is a super team or he joined the team who beat him. This team would be a dynasty in the making for years.
Even before the Bucks collapsed, I was thinking about GIannis on the Mavs because it makes too much sense. If only the Mavs had another star player who could play defense, this team would be even scarier. Giannis needs to go to Dallas if he does leave.
I don't see how him being on the Warriors would work. The Warriors don't do it for me. The Raptors? WTF? I get the Heat want him too and they would be scary, but him being on Dallas makes the most sense.
