With the 08 nuggets. He couldn’t guard anything he was terrible defensively besides those weak ass weak side blocks. Gasol gave it to him in the playoffs. If nene wasn’t injured 08 nuggets could of gotten about two games off the nuggets. Also, nene was more efficient

We strongly disagree about Lebron, but I'm liking your takes on other things. I posted here a while ago he was the worst defensive player of the year ever and it debatable if he was even good on defense at all. The next year their defense was much better without him.

No doubt I actually like your takes on lebron I just get offended when people use anything lebron does to hate on Jordan, I’m a Jordan fan too so I have bias there lol. People had the nerve to give credit to Billups without acknowledging that they got rid of Camby too and nene came back. Iverson got the raw end of the stick there but I think that shit was planned

You are the 3rd, but you are welcome to give your opinion on Marcus Camby. I actually got into a debate with a weird Camby loving Knicks fan once who gave Camby the most credit for the Knicks 99 finals run. I tried to let him know about a few guys with the name of Houston, Sprewell and Larry. Even Patrick Ewing while falling off a bit was solid in the first round win against Mourning and the Heat.
Yeah I'm not a Camby fan.

I actually think Jordan is better than Lebron. Jordan and Kareem are my top 2 of all time. I love Lebron too though.
Camby is not on the list.

Camby had some great games in that run. He had no offensive game but he got a bunch of important offensive rebounds. He did a decent job on David Robinson in the finals, but Duncan was the one that needed to be slowed down.
Just look at this sexy pixel right here, his dunk on Mutumbo when they swept them in the 2nd round

99 Camby was the reason the Knicks beat the Pacers and its not even close, aside from Miller and the Pacers choking anyways. We werent prepared to handle that type of athleticism on both ends. He was all over the court blocking shots, steals rebounds, scoring on putbacks and on the break you name it.

He might of been good in 99 but he damn sure wasn’t good in 2008

There was a pretty big disagreement here at the time on if Camby was a great defender or just a guy who blocked everything because his lack of preventing drives to begin with. The comparison was made between he and Duncan who blocks less shots....because his positioning was superior and didn’t allow penetration to begin with.

Yeah, Camby was a bad DPOY. It was in ‘07, by the way, had to check because I was certain 1st year Celtics’ Garnett won in ‘08. I think it’s accepted knowledge now that Nene was a more impactful defender. Still can’t believe Duncan never got ONE.

He just never had the flashy blocks per game stat. I would say he is 20 times the defender that Camby is but Camby was a negative on that side of the floor
