He would fit nicely into Markieff Morris' current role.

He didnt need Lebron, not many star players need Lebron to hold them back anyway. Though he could've stayed in Toronto, would've easily a repeat with more supportive teammates like Lowry, and a competent coach like Nike Nurse.

If Kawhi had a bad game in the playoffs James or Anthony Davis would've carried him, unlike Paul Gorge who did nothing because every superstar player have terrible games but sidekicks or role players that are solid step up, until their superstar gets his legs back or shakes it off.
It even happened to Jordan.

I think since he already beat Lebron in 2014 by a record margin, he doesn't have interest in playing with him.
Can't blame him. He wanted the challenge to go against him and died on his sword. Gotta honor that.

So what you're saying is that all Kawhi needs being the main man is to join a 60 win team and then face a decimated Warriors team in the finals?

Yeah Kawhi didn't need Lebron. He just needed to play on loaded teams like the Spurs and Raptors. Not many other superstars in NBA history have been able to sit out 22 games and see their team go 17-5 without them. It is pretty much Kawhi and Durant.

Let us not forget that his former supporting cast won like 55 games this season ( was it 55? I did not look itnup). Those Raps were absolutely stacked.

Well the loss to Nuggets in WCSF was a surprise, definitely not what was expected. But playing with Lebron means that hes guaranteed without FMVP in this year, whether they win or not. Easy choice if you were Kawhi, not many players are willing to play Lebron's second fiddle.

Who can the Clippers get who will be closest to Lebron ? It was obvious Clippers needed a player like Lebron who will lead the team during the 4th quarter.

Not many star players want to play with Lebron nowadays, it wasnt just Kawhi. Irving was the first to 'start the fire' and made it clear that he didnt want to play with Lebron, and PG didnt come to Lakers partially because he didnt want to play with Lebron either. You notice a pattern here, and I feel that since the Irving incident more star players came to realize that they would be unable to win FMVP and any major NBA awards playing next to Lebron. They would rather be the alpha on their own teams, some will succeed, some wont. You may argue that there are players who overestimated themselves and should have played as Lebron's second fiddle, but you cant blame them for the effort/courage. A soldier who doesnt want to be the general, aint a good soldier.

And what happened to Kyrie after leaving the Cavs? He literally became a laughing stock and is viewed as a team killing cancer.
Reminds of Kyrie Irving.... way over his head, some players just think they are better than they are... But i honestly think its maybe they just want to do their thing and chill, earn cash, dont want to be pressured/stressed into hardcore championship competing, demanding them to give their best mentally/physically, because thats what a Lebron team usually is...

Irving left Cavaliers and the two years spent with Celtics made him realize that, he aint good enough to lead a title contender team. Its a good revelation, hes now willing to be Durant's second fiddle. Its a bless though, Durant is his good friend and more important, hes willing to share the ball and allow Irving to take some spotlight. When winning games, Irving will be able to get more credits as 2nd option to Durant, than if he stays as 2nd option to Lebron(you see what happened in 2016 Finals after they won it all, Irving was sick of that).
