Soooo Kawhi's Injury seems to be a Big Deal

Ive noticed that quite often in the 4th, he starts hobbling. In game 5 and 6, he was walking penguin style to the locker room. I think his quad injury is going to be hamper the guy for the rest of his career. Even with load management, even with 4 months off. He was STILL hobbling by the 4th in these playoffs. Sucks man. But they hid it well and he won a crazy ring before it really fvcked him.

The guy will never be 100% healthy ever again.

It's not an 'injury' per se. It's a permanent disability. A degenerative condition.

This is what the Spurs were telling him a couple of years ago, and what he didn't want to hear. But they were 100% correct in their diagnosis. He threw a fit and got himself traded and for what? His quads are still bad regardless of load management or whatever. People who think this guy has another 5 or 6 years left in the tank as a player vying for the title of BPOTP are kidding themselves.

It's why he load manages and why he can't play back to backs and why he looked his worst at the end of a 7 game series.

It's actually amazing to me at this point how many people that closely follow the NBA don't know this. Kblaze, a guy who has followed the NBA as much as anyone if not more than rest of us, is a prime example of someone who is seemingly unaware.

It's just the roll of the dice of life. C'est la vie.
