i'm probably gonna go with the optical drive one, blu rays are a waste of money but damn do i like them, seeing full 4k with hdr on a good screen is an experience.

but with all the exclusives sony has going on, it's a no brainer. i haven't had ps since the ps3, way back then. was xbox all the way ever since, but xbox is slacking big time.

isn't the big drawback with the digi edition the fact that you can't pick up used $20 games @ gamestop and pop them in the ps5? or am i out of touch because i haven't owned a console since ps2?

yea thats why im getting the disc version, dont want to rely on ps store only.


ps store still has good deals just takes longer to drop compared to used

But I even consider just saving $100 on digi PS5, out of the 80+ games I have 90% are digital and prob 1/4 I havent even installed to try yet


PS store sales go real deep, like $5-$15. And they run 2 huge corresponding sales that change bi-weekly, all year long.


So like Steam your backlog starts to pile up quick, a nice problem


My only hard copies are preorders and rare Japanese titles


Getting a PS+ subscription is clutch, 2 free games every month and now the entire ps+ collection for PS5 owners. Huge win for new peeps like you and HW. Basically a years worth of PS4 classics
