The only player in NBA history to average at least 30 PTS & 6 AST and not make the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd All-NBA Team:

League has hit unprecedented levels of talent and loadedness.

As I said, in normal years, Embiid, PG, Murray, Book, Beal, LaVine, Mitch, Middleton, Brown, Young are all NBA‘ers.

They are all at 2nd-3rd team level right now, but someone has to be cut off by default.

Beal averaged 30 points and 6 assists ffs

Booker dropped 27/4/7 on 62% TS.

Young dropped 30/4/9 on 60% TS.

...

Chris Paul was not better than them.

Should have made it over Westbrook.

The 2nd and 3rd all NBA teams had some very weird choices in my opinion. No Embiid, Middleton or Beal just off the top of my head.

Should not have made it over Westbrook. Or Simmons. Or Young. Or Booker. Or Butler if he counted as a guard. Or Mitchell.

And LeBron was wrongly listed as a forward.

Harden didn't make it in 2016 averaging 29/8 and actually leading his team to the playoffs

Yeah both were punished for their team's lack of success despite them being great. There aren't 15 players I'd take over Bradley Beal.

What is the Wizard's record this season? Given how terrible he led the team, its fair that he doesnt make it to all NBA team.

Now compare that to 90s guards:

1992-93 Mark Price: 18.2 ppg, 2.7 rpg & 8.0 apg, All-NBA 1st Team
1993-94 Latrell Sprewell: 21.0 ppg, 4.9 rpg & 4.7 apg, All-NBA 1st Team
1996-97 Tim Hardaway: 20.3 ppg, 3.4 rpg & 8.6 apg, All-NBA 1st Team

2019-20 Bradley Beal: 30.5 ppg, 4.2 rpg & 6.1 apg, not even good enough for All-NBA 3rd team

Context matters. Beal threw a hissy fit when he didn't make the AS game and went on a selfish scoring rampage as "revenge". He would ignore teammates and was so lazy on D that he was actually a net negative on the court. He didn't deserve to make All-NBA.

I admire Bradley Beal for only doing that and not quitting the season altogether for not being named an all-star for the type of season he had. The fact that he didn't quit and only went on a revenge rampage really shows character.

Every GM in the league today would take prime Mark Price and Spree over Beal. Tim Hardaway is questionable.

Trae young averaged 29.6 ppg and 9.3 apg for the hawks this season but nobody seems to mind about that.

Beal sold out. Completely sold out on defense the entire season.

Absolutely a loser season for him and I think enough writers knew it.

Whether a guy is good on D or not, he usually gives close to 50% energy on defense. Beal gave shit. His team was better without him.
