These are not real playoff games. Let’s be serious with Home Court the Clippers would have rolled them in 5. These are exhibition games.

If they had played at Staples, the Clippers would have had a 7 game road series(against the Lakers) that might have(would have?) have been harder than playing in front of nobody. So, either way.

So the difference in quality between the preseason favs and the Nuggets is the audience?

Could you imagine all the Laker fans at Staples trolling the Clippers in a game 7? Clippers would have choked even harder. There would have been Lakers chants during a Nuggets win

Ok since they are not real games I am sure if the Lakers fail to win the title, you will have zero to say about Lebron losing? After all they are just pick up games.

Clippers would feed off crowd energy and it wouldn’t go to 7. Their problem was they couldn’t manufacturer their own energy. They would have benefited the most from home court.

It is good the Clippers are moving to Inglewood, but honestly they should move much farther. They are always going to be in the shadow of the Lakers. Even when they were making the playoffs and the Lakers were going 17-65 more people cared about the Lakers.

I know it's kind of a meme, but moving the team to Seattle would actually be awesome

They were all thrown in a prison bubble. It wasn't about who were better basketball players, it was about who could handle the bubble better from a mental standpoint.

Ok? If that's your point, doesn't that extrapolate to the regular season and regular playoffs as well?

Because playing in front of a crowd of 20,000 and succumbing to those pressures or feeding off of the crowd has nothing to do with your actual basketball ability. It's just a mental toughness thing, which in itself has nothing to do with basketball?

I swear this board man... LeBron James can't be discussed objectively. Everything is agenda driven. lol.

Being nervous in front of a crowd is one thing.

Being depressed because you're trapped in a building and can't see your family is another thing.

All the players were in the same situation. Cry me a river that a millionaire has to make some sacrifices during a pandemic to play a game. It's not like being overseas fighting a war and having to write letters home.

Strange how the "depression" didn't kick in until the 2nd half.

There are people working 12 hour shifts on oil rigs for months straight and they have to give their best everyday, because anything else endangers their and other's lives, but some guy making millions off throwing a rubber ball into a hoop is excused, because he can't see his uncle for some weeks.

Folks, the bubble allowed family members in after the first round. Clippers had their family there. They just choked

It is funny how "the bubble" didn't affect the for the first 10 1/2 games but suddenly kicked in for the final 2 1/2.

Yeah, they aren't relevant in their own city. They should move to Seattle, San Diego, Baltimore, etc. A place where they would be the only basketball team and has shown they can support having a major pro sports team.

If they couldn't handle being in a hotel they didn't have the mettle required to win a chip.

Hell no.

These are the most legitimate playoffs in history. Pure basketball.

Just because people in OKC got nothing to do in the summer, the Thunder get to have a huge boost? **** that.

It was their job to be ready to take care of business. They failed to keep their eyes on the prize. Plain and simple. They're not the first to have that happen, and they will not be the last. Credit to the Nuggets for for doing their job, taking it one possession/one game at a time, not looking ahead to the next series, and not getting big-headed. I like and respect Doc Rivers as a coach, but this is not the first time a team of his has done this. The Clippers were taught a hard lesson on the big stage and time will tell if it hit home.

This is playoff basketball. If you want to win it all, you grind it out until the final buzzer sounds in the final game and not a moment sooner.

For real, not to mention people serving in the military overseas. And this dude is trying to create a sob story for millionaires staying at fcking Disney for a couple months getting paid millions to play a game :oldlol: What a fcking joke
