I don't know, but I can definitely tell you that whatever happened is not LeBron-related, because 10 years after joining the Heat, he is on his way to lead his team to another championship.

That is like saying the Lakers don't need Kobe because they are in the WCF in 2020. The 2020 roster doesn't bear any resemblance to the roster when LeBron was last in Miami.

Props to Riley for rebuilding without tanking, though. :applause:

They're doing this shit with a team he left SIX years ago :lol I couldn't even imagine if a former team of his had a 2017 OKC like season without him, let alone what the Raps did this year

Can you ever imagine, Raptors or Spurs making finals without Kawhi? or OKC without KD?

Yes. In fact, I can imagine them making 4.

:lol True.

It has gotten lost because of how the 15' Heat season went but going into the season there was a ton of talk on ISH about how the Heat had 2 superstars who wouldn't be held down by LeBron anymore, how the East was weak and a team with Wade and Bosh would dominate it (since the East had no other superstar per the narrative--no one was saying George was better than a top 30 all-time player then), how the Heat would be like the 94' Bulls, etc. Then the Heat got off to a 5-2 start and it kept going. After that the Heat went south and the narrative shifted to "Wade was old and hurt, Bosh was hurt" from the same people who present 2014 Wade as 2006 Wade.

We definitely saw what they hoped for and how they would respond to it but they haven't gotten it.

LeBron has had a significant injury only once and it happened to be when he had his worst team since he came out of high school so it didn't provide us much value but if LeBron misses 30 games next year and the Lakers go 17-13 (46 win pace so nothing awesome) during that span you know what the reaction would be.

Can you ever imagine, Raptors or Spurs making finals without Kawhi? or OKC without KD?

Would anyone be shocked if the Raptors make the finals next year? They were one shot away from the ECF this year. It will be the same core coming back next year.

OKC w/out KD went from a 59 win pace with KD (55 wins total) and Game 7 of the WCF to 47 wins and the first round.

MIA w/out LeBron went from 55 win pace with him and the finals to 37 wins and 10th in the East. You don't see a difference between Miami and OKC/TOR?

The Spurs were in the finals before Kawhi and when they made it with him he was a role player both years. Kawhi was 12/6/2 in 13' and 13/6/2 in 14'.

It's easy if you try. Imagine all the finals playing without KD ... woo-hoo!

It is skip bayless, he is troll nothing more. Obviously Miami could have used Lebron when they missed they playoffs in 2015, 2017 and 2019.

But yes, a ton of props to Pat Riley. This is really his 4th group he has built that is a contender; the Zo/Hardaway group, Shaq's stint, Lebron's era and now Butler's turn.

This Heat team is like the opposite of the cHeat though. They're a hardworking, teamball playing, no flopping or colluding squad with great culture (Riley) and coaching (Spo). It really puts into perspective how bad some of Bran's teamhops were. He was hopping to surefire win situations over and over and then barely winning or getting wrecked ~ 2011 and 2014.

Yup, and some of it is drafting (Bam was the 14th pick) and some of it free agency but a lot of those key moves were trades. Zo', Hardaway, Shaq, Butler, Dragic (obviously not the same level as the other four players but he arguably has been their second best player this postseason) all came via trades. Riley seems to be the only one to consistently pull of these type of big trades.

How many games did Chris Bosh play in '15?

You know the answer--just like you know their record actually got better after Bosh went down (since around that time they traded for Dragic and Whiteside emerged).

How many games did the Raptors rotation miss this year? Good teams find ways to overcome injuries--just like the Heat did each year when Wade was hurt when LeBron was there.

Erik Spoelstra replaced LeBron with Jimmy Butler and he's getting better results then ever in the east. I thought LeBron teams are supposed to suck without him? Same coach and same formula getting same results.

Replaced Butler with Lebron? Lol, it has been 6 years since Lebron played there. The Heat have only won one playoff series in 6 years without him and missed the playoffs 3 times. It is a completely different roster 6 years later. Soon you'll tell me the Jazz don't need Karl Malone because they have Donovan Mitchell.

They shouldn't. He is a professional troll, but people get a kick out of him. His Lebron hate is comical, but he showed his whole shtick is just to be a ridiculous clown when he spent years promoting Tebow. No serious sports personality would have promoted someone that awful.

It's been so long since Lebron has been in Miami that there is no other player who was on the 2014 roster that is even still in the league other than Haslem who is basically just an advisor on the team now.

He replaced LeBron with Luol Deng, a 2x all-star. The team still collapsed (unlike Toronto without Kawhi).

Saying LeBron has any connection to the 20' Heat is like saying KG is connected to the 20' Celtics or Kobe to the 20' Lakers. Kobe was in LA more recently than LeBron was in MIA.

Obviously but the historical fact is the replacement for LeBron was Deng. Butler came 6 years later. Butler wasn't even a star circa summer of 2014--that is how long ago 2014 was.

Yup... and Bam basically = Bosh. Both nice all star talents albeit with different strengths.

Imagine if Butler was handed a prime Wade on top of that. The Heat would be damn near guaranteed champions and dynasty.
