They will try to increase the Supreme Court to 11 and add two new ones.

That’s like losing a 7 game series and saying it’s actually a 9 game series. Nm poor analogy it’s actually far worse than that.

Leave it up to the Democrats to find a way to always stay in power. That’s all these vile people care about. The membership to the club is too good to pass up.

That's as ridiculous as the crazy Left saying that if Trump wins reelection, he will try to change the rules to run for a third term.

Crazy talk is all it is.

Except a third term would be illegal. The constitution doesn’t require any specific number of justices. Obviously nobody cares what they said or did last time or any conventional rules or standards. No laws would be broken by more judges. If it’s constitutional it’s up to those in power at the moment right?

Block a vote and hold off with only 8 for 11 months because you have the power and immediately vote when your guy gets to pick because the country can’t be put on hold. **** it I guess. Just doing whatever the law allows.

Neither side really cares about standards just the W the law allows them to get at the moment. Free for all shit. Democrats ever get the power they had in 08 with 60 seats, the house, and White House I’m sure the retribution will be epic. And America will suffer because it’s people don’t hold those in power to any standards either. “They would do it on our place!” is just gonna escalate back and forth till democrats eventually win Texas in 12-16 years like happened with California. Then begins a generation of extreme left rule while the right pretends they wouldn’t do such a thing.

In the end everyone loses these games. But it is what it is.

If this is possible then why don't anyone in power ever just increase it to over 9000 and call it a day? :confusedshrug:

You just kinda....don’t.

The only way to make it illegal at this point would be a constitutional amendment and as polarized as America is now you could never get a super majority, 38 states, and a president to agree on anything.

We keep playing this “**** what we said....we can do anything legal” game eventually a Democrat government will just make Puerto Rico and Dc states to get 4 new senators and that takes only a simple majority. Republicans wouldn’t do it because the most likely places would be democratic. But once it’s done they can’t undo it. And you can’t split up states from the outside.

Like...republicans can’t make Northern California a state without California voting on it first. But democrats could make Puerto Rico one so long as they take the whole thing.

Its not that hard to dirty trick your way ahead once you decide that it being legal makes it ok.

Remove lifetime appointments for scotus, expand scotus, term limits for congress, abolish electoral college

3 of those would take a constitutional amendment and would therefore be impossible. Adding justices is apparently a simple majority issue. Trump could add 3 tomorrow but knows it creates an arms race where the next democrat adds 5 more.

When has it been 11? From what I've read its varied from 5 to 10 since the late 1700s but nothing citing 11.
