Imagine first 2 games of the finals (if nuggz don't comeback), AD playing out of this world, monster stats, series tied and lebron playing terrible being guarded by butler, crowder, iggy etc. Think he's going to pull a 2011? Honestly i don't trust this dude. Needs his stats and media awards, his only claim to greatness, we saw his reaction on the regular mvp. What y'all think brothers!

it would mean more tears for the hater nation aka the virgin-fam.

This would be my biggest concern as a legit Laker fan...not one of the bandwagon ones like red1.

We saw it happen in 2011...

And we've seen the dismal finals record...largely due to him trying to get his own, to the detriment of the team, thus causing loss after loss.

Lbj is smart enough to realise that he has 3 rings and AD can carry him to another 2 rings if he goes wade big brother mode. Otherwise he only has 3 and a bad finals record

It would mean he tied shaq's ring count in 17 prime healthy seasons. So he would have no problem with ad winning it? It's going to be weird.

It's not like he's gonna stop Davis from getting the ball if he's on fire. He does want another chip after all.

This thread is priceless. Tonight you're having hater-Coachella 2020 because LeBron was "scared" and passed the ball to Davis, etc. Yet at the same time you're complaining that he want allow Davis to ball in the finals? How does that work? If you could make up your mind and stick to the subject, perhaps you would have enough dedication to get yourself a job and not live in your parents' basement.

You don't get it. Playoffs mvp award doesn't exist, we all know it's fmvp or nothing for lebron. But maybe he has changed.

He may be smart enough, but will LeEgo get in the way?

He's not good enough to win FMVP over LeBron. LeBron will always be the Alpha on his team....even if it was a team full of alphas like team USA he would be still be the alpha.... Alf Alpha James

This. LeBron will always be considered Steve Nash to AD's Amare Stoudemire:

I'm not saying that it's impossible that AD wins Finals MVP, but the statistical difference would truly have to be gargantuan.

The fact that you are so hopeful that AD will win FMVP will make you extra disappointed if this doesn't happen. You know that the race for the championship is already over. Your last hope is AD winning FMVP, thinking a 27 year-old Davis winning it over an almost 36 year-old LeBron will somehow make LeBron look bad.

Whether LeBron wins FMVP or not, I can guarantee you one thing: LeBron will definitely play better in the Finals than Michael Jordan in 1996, when he lifted Dennis Rodman's Finals MVP trophy after the series-clinching game 6 where he shot 5-19.

Relax it would just be his 4th ring and third superteam ring, and it's a disney ring.

How are those "superteam" Cavs and their back-to-back sub 20-win seasons doing?
The same goes for Kyrie, and his 2nd round exit sandwiched between two ECF seasons for his team playing without him?

He has to if they go up against Miami. Jimmy Buckets is one of the few players who has defended Lebron well in the post-season.

Individually, I don't think there is a player whose soul LeBron owns quite as much as Butler's.

Lebron against Butler in 11 Playoff games : 25 ppg 41.2%FG (21.2 FGA) 20% 3PT (4.1 3PA)

Very convenient of you to leave out the other stats: 9.2 rpg, 8.4 apg, 1.9 spg & 1.0 bpg

If LeBron averages those numbers in the finals, it's a lock for the Finals MVP. Even if he shoots poorly, which considering he is shooting .547 so far these playoffs, he probably won't.

It's not a lock for FMVP, if Lebron averages 25/9/8 on below-average efficiency while AD puts up a beastly 30+/10+ on high efficiency like he has so far for most of the Playoffs. Lebron's efficiency has been declining since the first round and they have yet to play an above-average defense.

The last 7 games (Houston & Denver), Lebron's averaging just 24.3 ppg on 51/30/72 shooting & while he led the league assists in the RS, he's averaging just 7.2 assists to 4.3 turnovers in these 7 games as well. Let's see if he can do better against a real defense in the Finals.

TheGoatest

Yeah, let's see if he can manage to do well against a defense that is holding Jaylen Brown to 21 on 56% so far these series, when he averaged 21 on 43% the previous series against the Raptors.

So once again the GOAT dictates and controls the tempo/game. The GOAT decides if it's his teammates time to be LeElevated. Birdfed players cant decide their fates?

Got it, thanks.
