All cops cleared in Breonna Taylor case except one and he is only charged with wanton endangerment because the boyfriend fired first and cops announced their presence before entering i.e. this was not a "no knock" breach.

Kind of torn on this one because I'm a man's home is his castle kind of guy, and I fully support anyone, who is not a criminal and expecting cops to show up soon, firing on police in their own home if cops fail to make their presence known before entering. But I certainly wouldn't riot over it.

I didnt follow this case closely at all, and I fully acknowledge that corruption has existed and does exist in the justice system. But I would assume given the current level of scrutiny on this case, it would be very hard for any public official to “do these cops a solid” if the evidence didnt justify the decision.

Moreover, if rioters do want to blame anyone for police malfeasance, their crosshairs should center squarely on Democratic politicians, whove been the disablers of police accountability for decades. But the rioters are too dumb to know it and the media is too dishonest to highlight it.

My cousin lives in downtown Philly and he was saying people are angry in protests about the decision and they should reverse the decision. I don't understand who 'they' is.. Doesn't a grand jury have citizens as jury? You just need simple majority to indict someone then you have a trial.

If majority of jury don't indict the cops, what can you possibly do from the outside? I don't think (might be wrong) a judge or even attorney general can overturn the grand jury decision in a criminal case. Once you get to the grand jury stage, it's not exactly an issue of the system but rather of the people who end up on jury. I don't even know what the heck you can do in that situation. Voting for a liberal or Democrat isn't going to change who ends up on grand jury. Jury depends entirely on where you are and who is randomly chosen, and those jury decide whether to indict or not.

People make it seem like some Republican judge or attorney general decided not to indict, but that's not what a grand jury is.. Lots of people protesting don't understand what a grand jury is or how it works. I don't know all the specifics, but I know it's citizens deciding, and you just need majority to indict someone. If they decided not to for reasons we will never know, then you live with it. Case can still go to trial next if the prosecutor thinks there is strong enough evidence to prove the case against the grand jury call so it's not technically over yet. I don't know understand why people are rushing to conclusion. It's not over yet.
