There should be term limits on every appointed position IMO. Cognitive decline is a real thing that should be considered with positions of power.

We do psychological tests on police officers (not sure if annually or not -- but should be), judges should be hold to same or higher standard (annual).

I agree with a lot of your post, especially on her retiring during Obama's term if she really cared about having a progressive judge replace her. It sucks that the SCOTUS is so political, it always was but its hyper political now. I do support Barrett because of her anti abortion rights but some of her other views, not so much.
