Walk on Water

I have to be honest. I was getting some pleasure from social distancing. I was in hermit mode, focus mode. I was getting comfortable with not seeing people. Just staying home. And that was what we were supposed to do. Take a break from people. Mind your own business. Separate.
And now people want me to go see them at an outdoor restaurant. Just wear a mask. And/or stay 6 feet apart. To me this is ridiculous. I am the type of person that thinks either we only see people when it's back to normal or we just don't bother at all. I don't wanna do it half way, too much of a hassle.
Once I got used to social distancing, I was ready to just do that and then go back to normal when it's time. No I don't want to be disrupted from my hiatus. It's either we're in hiatus mode or we're back to normal. There's no proof either that a mask works. So I don't understand how people think that the virus is deadly but at the same time think it's safe as long as you wear a mask. Makes no sense.
Bottomline is it's only worth it to see you if things are back to normal. Otherwise, it's just awkward. It's almost like the virus kinda feels fake and we get to feel how we want about it, depending on our needs and urges. Think about it. On a scale of 1 to 10, the virus is a 10 for some but then when they wear masks or stay 6 feet, it's like a 1. It's really a strange way of living.
That's why I don't want to see people unless it's back to normal, because I'm a straight shooter and I don't flip flop back and forth. Either I see you when things or back or I don't want to see you.
