What happened is it's not college anymore. He's also 30, which for someone his size usually means he's on the downswing.

99% of players in college don't make it to the NBA. He took advantage of clumsy mismatches. Don't forget his sidekick in college, Lamb :lol yeah he's made a decent career of himself in the NBA... but he never became the star teams thought he would be when he came out (lamb). I just remember that game winner kemba hit in the big east tourney, the guy that was covering him was some clunky defender that he just step backed on. There are still some clumsy defenders in the NBA, but Kemba is short and shifty and over a series he gets figured out.

I think he just doesn't click with Tatum. Kemba has always been on terrible teams and hasn't figured out how to play with another scorer. Tatum also struggled with scoring point guard Irving, so maybe he has issues with scoring point guards as well. Tatum can't really pass the ball, so the best point guard next to him is a playmaking one. Those two just haven't found a way to click.

What are you saying happened? He’s not playing poorly by his standards. He’s only had one real “WTF?” game in the playoffs.

Whats he supposed to be doing on a team where he’s one of 3-4 guys who can score pretty well? He doesn’t take 20 shots like in Charlotte but he’s not on a team that loves and dies with him either. He rarely seems to force the issue....and he shouldn’t.
