He just needs 247 points just to surpass the record of Jerry West. He is currently at 2nd place with 1383 points.

West currently has 2374 finals minutes played.
LeBron has 2099 finals minutes played. He should pass him in points right around the time he passes him in minutes. It won't be these finals though, as LeBron would need to average 35.3 over the maximum 7 games to pass him.
But even though West has more points, LeBron is easily better in all-round finals rankings:
West:
Points: 1st
Rebounds: 17th
Assists: 3rd
LeBron:
Points: 2nd
Rebounds: 5th (will be 4th after these finals for sure)
Assists: 2nd

Can't compare that era with any other era. It's why my GOAT lists are broken down by era and "tiers". Only accurate way to rate players.
