This and the cursive Finals logo will always be my favorites. The new look is so boring. I didn't even realize they changed anything after looking at the picture for a good 20 seconds.

The Disney part is understandable. They are literally in Disney World right now. The YouTube tv thing is lame.

We are letting that hate group slide

Honestly....I hope one day they use it to help communities and help black lives...not just be a Soros funded tool to divide and cause unrest.

The NBA is doing a sleek mindfkck on the fans doing this restarted season.

"A whole new game", you've heard and read it a bunch of times by now. It's a message put there to help get the fans to embrace the changes of the game, which is showing to be political messaging as well as the further installment of corporate branding during games. There's what, 15 seperate Youtube visuals showing in that picture?
Nothing of the game itself has changed since before covid, they're not playing 6vs6, the rims have not been raised.

They could have gone with a message of familiarity, "this game will always be the same", or something like that, to try and make sure fans see the NBA as a place of loyalty. But instead they went the other way and have more or less been telling the fans to change their ways in how they think, which has to be considered potentially bad for the brand in the long run.

I wonder what the breaking point is, and if there is one.

Corporate arena names.
The ridiculous amounts of commercials you need to see if you follow an NBA game live.
In game adds by the commentators.
Adds on jerseys.
Adds on the court.
Players selling corporate products that are proven to have an unhealthy effect on the public.

They'll squeeze it to the maximum, I remember when they were testing early one season or pre-season and there was literally a picture-in-picture effect with a Ford Ranger right on top of Marvin Bagley as he started to shoot freethrows :oldlol:

Looks like a person with too many tattoos, yet too few to go all the way like a hardcore tattooist

Get rid of the corporate advertising.

Looks like designed specifically for a g-league championship round.

Or worse.

It looks bad, but I'm sure after the first quarter of game 1 I won't even notice it, just like I don't even notice the social justice message jerseys anymore.

Now that's power marketing. We need to make the BLM movement widespread, not enough people even know about this yet, the media is slacking, NBA is standing out proud for the blacks.

Looks slightly better than a practice court, I dont know if this will have the finals feel to it.

The worst finals court I've seen in my lifetime. Silver should be ashamed for letting basketball devolve into soccer-level advertisements.

ugliest nba finals court in history.

looks like some random 3rd world country basketball league where that league NEEDS to bow down to that type of in-your-face corporate advertising or they'd vanish.

it just doesn't look classy.

and once you let this go, what's stopping them from adding a few more logos in the future? imagine a court full of this visual absurdity from dozens of corporations.

Why does the nba hate the cursive NBA Finals logo which is probably the most epic logo in sports? So weird
