Manned fighter jets are 99% pointless in the modern world... if were going to waste hundreds of billions of dollars on millitary bullshit, it would be far more worthwhile to spend the money that would go toward developing a 6th generation fighter jet on something like a hypersonic missile defense system, virtually anything involving electronic warfare...ffs even fvcking space force is more relevant for the modern world than a stealth fighter jet.

And no, we wont see the f35 in action... because its an unreliable piece of shit, and because there are very few situations in the modern battlefield where a jet like the f35 is useful.
