Here’s why. He singlehandedly beat LeBron twice in back-to-back finals and carried a mediocre Warriors that had zero chance of making the playoffs, let alone the NBA finals without him. He’s singlehandedly going to carry the Nets all the way to the NBA finals and win it all next season. KD is the best leader, best scorer, and best teammate in the league and those reasons alone, Kevin Durant is the second greatest player of all time behind only, Michael Jordan.

He needed to join a 73 win team just to beat LeBron :yaohappy:
What happened before that? KD was literally LeBrons punching bag before he joined the Warriors :oldlol:

This thread almost made me burst out in laughter in front of a group of people. Lebron stans can be a bit cringy but Lebron haters are just bonkers!

What in the f.uck is this thread? KD carried the Warriors to the finals who had no shot without him? You mean the same Warriors that won a title in 2015, won 73 games and got to game 7 in 2016 finals( beating KD along the way), and made the finals in 2019 despite KD getting injured?

Durant will be lucky enough to be considered a top 15 all-time player, let
alone be in the same tier with the likes of MJ, LeBron, Kareem, etc.

To be real though, that’s how guys like Stephen A and Skip Bayless acted after KD won those titles.

Are people really expecting Durant to do anything significant at 32 coming off a major injury? I seriously doubt he's gonna be close to an MVP, or with the Nets as currently constructed a championship either. He could maybe rack up a few more All-NBA nods, but no way is he reaching that tier of players you mentioned. I think top 15 is about as realistic a ranking as he can achieve at this point

I do think he could return to MVP form individually, but the Warriors were literally the perfect team for him in terms of roster and play style. So in terms of winning more titles, not seeing it from this angle.

I think durant can be top 10 but also agree mvp years are most likely over. Next year is going be entertaining with the curry and durant Stans fighting more.
Both their teams have high expectations with curry/kd as clearly their best players but not quite championship or bust level like the lakers or clippers this year

The OP is obviously a troll, but I never understood the Durant was better than Lebron arguments since all the arguments used against Lebron apply far more to Durant. The guy lost to Lebron in the finals with 2 other stars. (Spare me the "James Harden wasn't a star yet," he averaged 25ppg the next year as the man in Houston) He then repeatedly choked in the playoffs then joined an actual super team. Not a potential superteam, but one with 3 all nba players and 73 wins the year before he went there that was possibly a Draymond suspension away from back to back titles.
Lebron is a much more durable player that has only had one serious injury in his career. Durant had 2 season enders plus a full season of not playing. Lebron is a far more complete player who does far more for a team.

SHUT UP IDIOT.
KD IS A BITCH SO IS THE PERSON WHO RAISED YOU FOR SUPPORTING HIM.
How you lose to a team after being up 3-1. Not only you lose to them but you join them the very next year in order to win your rings.
LIKE HOW IN THE WORLD THIS MAN GOT FANS?

TBF, the Warriors had ZERO depth. They gave up depth for KD. That's why the Rockets looked like they had a chance against the Warriors in '18.

Durant is clearly a level above Curry, Kawhi, etc.
However, he is just as clearly a level below LeBron.
He is #2, but no shame in being #2 to the greatest player of all time.
