View Full Version : What happens to the market, short term, if Trump survives with few to no symptoms?

Won't he start blasting from his platform as loud as he possibly can every day and forever that everywhere needs to fully open up?

And won't the markets, at the very least, short term, react accordingly?

Food for thought.

Oh yeah as soon as he comes back with a clean bill of health, I can see the Stock Market blowing up and a lot of focus would be put into Remdesivir.

Sure, if everybody had the same access to the best healthcare and doctors that he has, I'm sure we wouldn't have had more than 200 K deaths rn. The fact is that many of those fatalities were people with no healthcare insurance or with high premiums, who got sick, decided to toughen it out at home for fear of running up a huge medical bill and when they finally went to the hospital, they were already very sick.

Trump's experience with covid19 is in no way comparable to the rest of the country's.

I just googled "COVID survival rates" and this image was on the search results...

Again, to put the 200,000 or whatever number into perspective, most of those people were old with preexisting conditions. Additionally, we lose 500,000 to heart disease and 500,000 to cancer annually.

And nobody bats and eye or cares. Why? Because it's part of the plan. It's true that COVID can take young and healthy people, but the reaction has long since been disproportionate to the risk.

Absolutely my man, I've been saying this from the damn beginning

Survival rate:
U.S. 99.938%
World: 99.986%

Insane.

Trump's survival rate will be a bit lower than that, given he's 74 years old, obese, & doesn't get much sleep, though raised a little bit because of his medical care. I'd say he's got a ~98% chance of survival.

As far as the markets go, no clue. I remember 2016 the markets had quite a bit of volatility during the election, and I'm expecting the same.. which way? who knows :confusedshrug:
