I knew I hated Math, but I didn't know Math was being racist towards me the whole time.

"It is time for all members of our profession to acknowledge that mathematics is created by humans and therefore inherently carries human biases. Until this occurs, our community and our students cannot reach full potential." -CMPM

Damn.

That “open letter” is one of the cringiest try-harding’s Ive read in a while. And given the climate we’re in... thats really saying something.

I think this is basically educators coming out and admitting that Black and Hispanic students are not as smart as their White and Asian counterparts, so let's try and have these kids pass these classes by labeling certain subjects as racist.

"Yes, Trayvashaun. 2+2 does equal 5. Good job."

"What's that, Juan Carlos Maria Izquierdo de la Concepcion? You don't understand the language? No worry, amigo. You passed!"

The US and China tied for first in the math Olympics last year but this is our team

Also of note Brazil and Peru placed ahead of Germany and most other European nations. If you look at the list of top nations the overwhelming majority are not white nations. Math might be sexist though. Of the top 25 6 person teams only 2 teams had a single female. There were about 50 females represented in the competition of 700 participants but they represented mostly the bottom placing teams and only two teams in all of the world had 3 females, Uganda and North Macedonia. All 6 of UAE's participants were female but they placed dead last in the competition

I wouldn't know what to be outraged about if it wasn't for you scouring the web looking for things that trigger you. I would have never heard about this, and I would have never heard about all the other injustices if it wasn't for you OP. Thank you for your services, reading up on all these trivial things that catch your eye.

He's an obese ex-con that has no woman, no job, and no future so he spends all day scouring the internet to find someone to blame for his pathetic lot in life. That's why he gravitates towards others with the same victim mentality. It's a sad existence really, I kind of feel sorry for that fat fvck.

Mathematics are mostly discovered, not created. Axioms are created, but they describe things in nature that exist without us. The relationship of a circle's circumference to its radius or the sides of a triangle don't depend on humans.

I didn't know math could be intrinsically hateful. However, there is salt for certain real world problems that can be addressed by math.
