what a disappointment, the headline matchup for the entire season was not delivered. Lakers and Clippers were tied in the 4 games they played against each other, the definition of inconclusive. regardless of the finals outcome, the only real question of the season remains unanswered.

The Nuggets beat the Clippers and the Lakers decisively beat the Nuggets, so yeah I do have a pretty good idea how that series would have turned out.

Was I eagerly anticipating the matchup? Yes, right up until the moment when the Clippers shat the bed and revealed themselves as pretenders.

Answered.

Denver had the better 2 players. Murray and Jokic > PG and Kawhit over 7 games. 4 months off for Murray allowed him to take the next leap.

Lakers played the stronger duo and better team.

They were both up 3-1 on the Nuggets, seems like those series answered it to me

That's not how it works. Two teams play best-of-7 series. The best team wins. Clippers did not make it past the second round because the Nuggets were the better team. It's that simple. Move the fk on already.

The Lakers won their two most recent meetings and figured the Clippers out entirely. They would've demolished the Clippers with their small-ball lineups they perfected using against the Rockets.

Maybe the Clippers can hang a banner for this. Bring back the division title banners too. :lol

Clippers gave up. Poor chemistry. Injuries. 6 month fractured season. And just clearly and apathy for the playoff bubble basketball. It’s not real NBA basketball

clippers choked a 3-1 lead in the 2nd round.

50 years in the NBA and zero conference finals appearances.

Clippers were up 3-1, but the drive went the other way after watching Lakers demolished the Rockets.....
