So if lakers win on Friday and AD turns in another solid performance, I ask...what’s his weakness moving forward? Trained by LeBron? Maybe. But he has post game, paint game, passes well, shoots the 3, has handles, and plays monster defense. This guy is gonna be unbelievable after this season. He has no weakness.

Now that the Goat molded him into a winner, he's the ultimate basketball player. Might get an FMVP too when LeBron retires.

Passing out of double teams.

Definitely figuring out what to do when he's doubled. Against single coverage he's pretty much ungaurdable, but when he's doubled he's a deer in the headlights.

low post game is a bit meh even though the lakers feed him a lot. not just passing vs doubles but the scoring part. not big enough to really overpower someone so that leads to a lot of fadeaways which he's good but not great at. during the rs he was 3rd in post up scoring possessions at 5.1 a game but put up 0.9ppp. that's behind embiid(1.1), aldridge(0.97), jokic(1.06), towns(0.95) to compare to other bigs who post a lot.

So he’s not the best at one single thing, just very good at everything. Noted.

I sort of agree with that, but why haven't teams doubled him consistently then when he's putting up GOAT productions?

So his weakness is passing out of double teams. Not that that can be easily corrected in a offseason.

yea he's versatile as hell. great in transition, pretty good from 3 and midrange, great at getting putbacks and likely best in the league in the pnr. Tbf the post game makes up a big portion of his offense and he's far behind the best guys. .9 is not good and i forgot to say ad's in the 44.5% percentile efficiency wise so below average

I think as far as "weaknesses" it's hard to say he has any for his position, but he's not really someone who can be an entire offense unto himself. To do that you need to be an elite facilitator/passer. He is also assisted on a lot of his shots. For what it's worth, that's why I think I would take Jokic over AD. Jokic is a bad defender (though worse in the playoffs this year, he's usually solid during the regular season and last postseason), but offensively, he's basically Larry Bird and Dirk Nowitzki put together. I think if all goes perfectly, Jokic could go down as a top 25 player ever. AD I think as is will be top 30, like Dwade level.

He’s worse than Aldridge, jokic and towns in the post. But better than everyone else. I’ll take it. Plus room for improvement if that’s what he needs to work on. What are Aldridge towns and Jokic better than ad at? Jokic maybe better vision.

Dude AD >> jokic. AD is kinda good at the things jokic does (passing, shooting, clutch) but jokic can’t do the things AD does (defense, posting, rim protection)

towns is easily the best shooting big in the league. reducing jokic's passing edge to just vision is underselling him and he also has better touch in the paint and at times a better 3. Aldridge sure he's not a top tier big just one of the better post players.
I wouldnt say they're necessarily better since ad posts up so often but there are a bunch of guys besides the ones I listed who score more efficiently there based on this list. https://stats.nba.com/players/playtype-post-up/?sort=POSS&dir=1&SeasonType=Regular%20Season

His defence on elite centers
Dwight bailed his ass out in the WCF.
That is his weakness.

Like daddy Wade did for him.

I wonder the same thing. Watching him score with ease for 30 points in 15 shots one game, and then struggle to even get a shot off in the next when the defense focusses in on him makes me wonder why he isn't doubled way more often. Lakers have nowhere near as effective an offense when AD is consistently doubled.
