is the firearm she's holding legally obtained and owned? i don't know her situation or where she lived, but posing with firearms that you legally own is a constitutional right.

I don't think she obtained it legally, but that's just my opinion. I don't even think it's her, but probably the boyfriend there who shot at the cops. But when you're taking those kinds of pictures with a bunch of illegal drugs, it's not legal.

but, i think it's a below the belt move by police to release these pictures, it's there standard go-to move to sully the image of a suspect.

To be fair, it doesn't really matter how many guys she slept with or if she posed with guns. That doesn't negate any of her rights.

I'm not saying the cops were in the wrong either, I haven't followed the details of the story closely enough to pass any kind of a precise verdict. I do know a grand jury of her peers couldn't find sufficient evidence to even INDICT the cops, so to me that seems to be the end of it. Someone in her home seems to have provoked the justified use of lethal force, and she wound up paying the price.

Nobody defending her cares, obviously. It's an excuse to rage against the cops, white people, and all the usual imagined enemies these people rely on to bond over in opposing.

doesn't matter if he shot at the cops, IF they failed to announce themselves. we all have a god given right to protect our homes.

in ancient times, it was customary for head of households to protect their guests at ANY cost. the principal remains: we all have a right to protect our home at ANY cost because we are responsible for the heads under the roof. the neighbor's testimony is shaky at best.

I mean this is a fair point in general about the merits of a no-knock warrant. But the officers that enter the home don't make that call themselves I'm pretty sure. They're given an assignment. It's human nature that if someone fires at them, they have to fire back to save their own lives.

It's definitely a fair discussion whether they should have been put into that specific situation. But you can't blame the officers themselves for it.

Also, why would the cops knock, loudly, I think for like two minutes, and not announce that they are the cops, open up. If you really think about that, that makes no sense. Remember, it evolved into that story, the original story was that they raided the wrong house and killed an innocent EMT while she slept.

Original story was they entered the wrong house by mistake and killed breonna taylor while she was sleeping. Turned out to be a bs story.

Then we found out the warrant was in fact for that apartment and she was named on there alongside the bf I believe.

The record was never officially corrected.

Since then, someone has been spreading the story that the cops knocked for 2 minutes. Apparently that's also bs.

It's so difficult to know who to trust and which story is true because everyone seems to have an agenda. I wish every cop was required to wear body cam and activate it when entering some sort of situation then none of this crap would be "he said.. She said.." deal

I think you have a pessimistic view of the world along with inflated stats. Sure, many women with loose morals are down for whatever. Goldiggers will be goldiggers. Most people have reasonable morals and self-respect and many women also have independent wealth.

Your views are bullshit imo. But sure, there are crazy freaks. There are always things on the extreme edge of reality but they are in the lowest percentages.

For one to two minutes, Detective Michael Nobles said he knocked and announced himself as the police before using a battering ram to force his way into Ms. Taylor’s apartment.

She got herself killed because she got herself knee deep into the drug game, involving herself with a bunch of criminals. It normally doesn't end well for such people. (The average life span for a criminal is not that long.) As a result, the cops raided her house, the boyfriend thought it was another criminal, which is logical considering the type of life she was living. The boyfriend shot a cop and the cops returned fire.

You might be asking, "But why didn't they just shoot the gun out of the hand of the bf?" Because that only happens in the movies.

Not s big fan of cops raiding people's private property when the homeowner isn't the subject of the warrant so whatever happens to the cops, or forced policy changes because of this case, Im cool with it.

But have you ever notice how the "facts" in initial media narrative almost never becomes more outrageous when something comes out that the left has grabbed onto.

Breonna Taylor wasn't an innocent EMT, who was the sleeping victim of a botched no knock warrant on the wrong house.

Michael Brown wasn't an innocent college bound gentle giant with his hands up in the air and was shot in the back

Ahmed Arbery wasn't some innocent jogger set upon by 2 random white guys who he never met before.

It wasn't a BLM protestor shot in Kentucky by far right extremist. It was a BLM protestor who shot a reporter.

what if the truth is unclear and is often discarded by law enforcement in order to push a different narrative:

Were the officers fired upon? Yes.

Did their return fire result in Taylor's death? Yes.

Imagine a scenario where the police were not fired upon. Taylor would be alive. I'm not saying it's her fault. I'm saying it was a tragedy. I think a lot of young people nowadays are incapable of wrapping their heads around actions and consequences. There is no gray area with these people. Young and ignorant people want to accuse the police of murder, stating that the intent of that officer was to kill someone that night. But they ignore the actions that led up to that encounter. Imagine if Taylor and her boyfriend were not drug dealers. The Butterfly Effect. Imagine the world you would have around you if you did not partake in illegal activity to then draw the attention of the police.

I don't blame anyone on firing on cops breaking into their home in the middle of the night, half asleep and not knowing what's happening, if they are not doing anything wrong unless you are a felon who has lost his/her gun rights.

At the same time I can't blame individual cops for defending themselves. There needs to be serious policy changes within the law to prevent this thing from happening over and over. The cops are just following the law as dictated by their superiors. The cop who accidentally killed her should be disciplined, fired, and possibly convicted of a lesser crime but his superiors and/or policy makers should pay the heavy price for this woman's death
