Celtics are still ahead of Lakers even if the latter win it all this year. If tied for number of championships, then the head to head record in playoffs will be used as tie breaker. The Celtics hold an insurmountable 9-3 advantage in their playoffs record against the Lakers, and will win the tiebreakers. Lakers have to earn more titles than Celtics to surpass the Celtics.
