What can i say boys. I always told everyone here we are royalty. Of course the rats jumped on the Lakers hate when they were rebuilding. I remember "Big markets dont matter anymore", "Small markets can still get the same media coverage as Lakers now", "Dr.Buss died and they'll never win again". Yeah look what happened. Just like every decade, Lakers win and they win BIG. We'll be sick next few years, finals contention during those years (not phony teams like the Nuggets, Rockets, Celtics).
Two words for everyone that hated the Lakers at any point, including the LeBron stans who shit talked the Lakers and now they are sucking us off because we are putting LeBron in a position where can actually have a legit chance to be the GOAT if wins 1-2 more rings. Thats why the Lakers will ALWAYS be the best even when we have to rebuild in a few years, we ALWAYS come back. REMEMBER THAT -drops mic-

1. LeBron James and Anthony Davis are the 1st pair of teammates to average 25 PPG on 50% FG in the same postseason in NBA history.
2. Only @Lakers duos to win the NBA Finals while both averaging 25+ PPG in the postseason:
LeBron James (27.6 in 2020)
Anthony Davis (27.7 in 2020)
Shaquille O'Neal (36.3 in 2002)
Kobe Bryant (26.8 in 2002)
3. Anthony Davis and LeBron James will be the first pair of teammates to finish 1st and 2nd in postseason scoring (total points) in a postseason since Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant in the 2002 postseason.
4. Lakers finish season 57-0 when leading after three quarters
This is truly a remarkable stat when you think about it. The Lakers were great at finishing opponents off this season, not losing a single game that they led when entering the final quarter
5. Anthony Davis is one of five players to shoot 50-40-90 or better in the NBA Finals: (min. 20+ PPG). He joins Kevin Durant (2017, 2018), Chauncey Billups (2004), Penny Hardaway (2005), and Magic Johnson (1987).
6. Davis joins seven other players to win basketball's Triple Crown — NCAA Championship, Olypmic Gold Medal, NBA Championship.
Here are the players to earn this achievement:
Clyde Lovellette
Bill Russell
K.C Jones
Jerry Lucas
Quinn Bucker
Magic Johnson
Michael Jordan

He was much improved the first series. Then he became a walking disaster against the Nuggets and Heat. Think he might be autistic a little bit. Elemental morale thought Kuz was going to be a star and much better than Ingram lmfao. What a horrible take. Guy disappeared talking that Kuz hype.

I have to admit I never thought Ingram would be good. He proved me wrong. Lakers would have won really easily if they had him instead of Kuzma. Kuzma was consistently the worst player on the Lakers. He’ll probably be moved.

Celtics are still ahead. Same number of titles(17), and Celtics win the tiebreaker by their head-to-head record in NBA playoffs(9-3).

Thats cuz he's coming off the bench and he's being treated like a corner nig ga
You put ingram on this roster he'd play even worse than kuzma

I wish that would have been possible. But Pelicans GM was smart enough to know the massive difference between BI and Kuz. Current BI would be unreal for Lakers with his much improved shooting and even play making abilities. That would be scary.

Lol what? Kuzma has no handles whatsoever and theres a reason why a lot of Laker fans call him peabrain Kuz. The guy isnt even in the same dimension as BI. BI played a LOT better with a worse Lakers roster last year and with LeBron on the team. *** outta here lmao.

1 title in the last 37 years??? Most titles won when they were what?? 8 teams in the league? Lakers have won in every decade with 17 titles to boot. Its obvious. Lakers are #1 in any stretch of the imagination.

Great fvcking piece
Jeanie Buss.
It cannot be overstated how critical her role was in helping the Lakers turn themselves back into champions. Three years ago, she fired her own brother, Jim, as the head of basketball operations. She turned to Magic, who, no matter how you spin it, betrayed her and the Lakers with his disappearing act. Yet she stood firm, kept Pelinka in place, and led a Lakers organization under massive pressure to the place they now find themselves in.
Again, this shouldn't be missed, or underappreciated: The Lakers, before Jim Buss was sent packing and Jeanie Buss took over, were a hot damn mess, equal parts dysfunctional, embarrassing and backwards. Jeanie Buss changed that, and she did so at the cost of firing her sibling and personally taking on the brunt of any criticism and doubt -- and last year they arrived en masse -- when things looked bleak.
And she did this under the brutal, personal pressure of trying to live up to the memory of her father, the great, late Jerry Buss. His shadow -- and how much his daughter loved and looked up to him, how much she has wanted to be worthy of his name and legacy -- weighed heavily on her stewardship of the team he left her. That, too, was made right Sunday night: A daughter making good on the life's work of her father.

Amazing point. Jeanie has turned this organization around with the help of everyone -- Pelinka, Bron, AD, everyone else in between, even Magic.
There is a beautiful irony that Pelinka's team won an NBA championship the same week Lawrence Frank, his counterpart with the Clippers, won Executive of The Year. Nothing could better sum up how underappreciated Pelinka has been, nor how thoroughly one Lakers team did what it does, while the other operated only an illusion of excellence.
Even Dwight Howard -- Dwight Howard! -- is an NBA champion now, and a significant one, too. A player whose contributions were key. Pelinka, Vogel and LeBron each get some of the credit for seeing what Dwight could do, and helping to make sure he did so.
And how did we get to all of this? To a team LeBron would play for, with a front office that made the right moves and landed Anthony Davis, and that had the will and mental toughness to battle the NBA's best teams and a bubble in Orlando, with Frank Vogel as the coach and Rob Pelinka the GM after Magic Johnson saw the ship sinking and left them all behind?

If you think kuzma has a lot of potential, then there is something wrong with you.
The only thing he's good at is giving up possessions to opponents who turn them into shots later.

Kuz averaged 19 last year. You put him in the right situation and he can flourish.
Lakers should trade him.

2016 and 2012 were more impressive. great series though.

That's fair enough.
But the Celtics won 1 title in the last 30 years.
1/30.
If you make it 40 years, they won 4/40.
The Lakers on the other hand...
6/20 in the last 20 years.
11/40 in the last 40 years.
So when you think about it, the Celtics used to be dominant but really I wouldn't put them over San Antonio or the Heat in terms of modern-day achievements (Since the 3PT line was introduced, or even the Warriors.)
Not saying the HEAT, SPURS and WARRIORS are better over the last 40 years, just that they are AT LEAST IN THE SAME TIER as the Celtics over the last 40 years.

NBA Titles:
1. Lakers (11)
2. Bulls (6)
3. Spurs (5)
4. Celtics (4)
5. Heat, Pistons, and Warriors (3)

I am not a Celtics fan and nope I am not dismissing the Minneapolis titles, all 17 Lakers titles were legitimate. However, since both Celtics and lakers are tied at 17 titles, the tiebreaker is decided by the head to head record in playoffs series and now you see why Celtics win this one(9-3 in the finals).

Are you talking about the 9 titles they won from when there were 9 teams in the NBA and dudes were smoking in the locker room? That holds more presidence than a team winning in every decade and with significantly more titles (Lakers - 11 titles) since the ABA/NBA merger (Boston - 4 titles).
You lose bro. No one in their right minds thinks what you think. Even Boston fans know the truth. Thats why they all disappeared into the sewers of Boston.
