Lakers were #23 in 3 pointers made and 21 in 3pt% in 2020, before that every championship team in the last 8 years or so were either elite/good 3 point shooting teams. The NBA as a whole has seen a significant jump in 3 point attempts.

The website 538, made their playoff predictions strictly off analytics, they had the Lakers losing in the first round, and I believe they gave the Rockets a 80-90% chance to beat the Lakers in the 2nd round which is ridiculous.

538 makes THE most retarded projections. I remember they were giving the 2018 Warriors like 5% odds of winning the title heading into the playoffs :lol

They were basically the same makes and percentage on 3pt shots as the Heat in the playoffs.

It means 2 > 3 when you have Lebron and AD.

They had 84 3 pointers in the nba finals. Record in a 6 games series.

When you have two guys scoring at Shaq level efficiency/volume for two-pointers, that helps a ton.

Hopefully it signals a return to position ball.

This. Especially when you have Bron being more efficient than prime Shaq
