View Full Version : 89' Bulls beat the #1 SRS Cavs, so they'd beat the #6 SRS Piston from 07' too, right?

89' Cavs had 3 prime all-stars plus 20/5/5 Ron Harper and #2 defense, while the 07' Pistons were old and had very little by comparison

89' Cavs are better than any team lebron beat in the East, so it's clear that the 88' and 89' Bulls would've won the 07' and 09' East.. maybe the 86' and 87' Bulls would've won too

07' Lebron is praised for beating a middling team, while 89' MJ beat a top team

There's only one reason the bulls lost from 88-90'

88' Pippen vs Pistons... 10 on 46%
89' Pippen vs Pistons... 10 on 40% (missed last 2 games)
90' Pippen vs Pistons... 16 on 41% (2 pts, 1-10 in game 7)

Jordan never had a bad series, so anytime the series was close or lost, it was pippen's poor play that caused it
